I reserved an Acropolis-view room and they argued with me that I had not reserved one. There was a 15-30 minute wait at the front desk each time I wanted to talk to someone -- which was three times since I had to go back down to prove I reserved a view and get another room.

Having visited Greece for a two week holiday escape, staying at the Hilton in Athens for two days before returning home, was the icing to a wonderful retreat. The rooms were beautiful, spacious, well arranged, and clean. The Hotel is located in the middle of Athens with the subway (Metro) within walking distance and the bus stop yards from the front entrance. You can catch the bus to the airport 24-7 for 3 euro, or take the Metro to Acropolis or Plaka a mile away for .80 cent. Some Hotels in Greece have a five star rating although they never really measure up to American standards, but in this case, Hilton did. It was truly magnificent. What a great way to end our vacation.

We arrived hours before normal check-in and told that the room would not be available for *gasp* 30 minutes. The room was very clean with a great view of the Acropolis and the buildings on it. The service and quality was excellent in all areas (housekeeping, room service, restaurants, front desk, etc). You are within five minutes by taxi to all of the great sites and shopping of Athens.

Accomodations were very nice and the staff was extremely helpful. Note: do not have breakfast at the hotel (unless it comes with the price of the room). You will wind up paying three to four times as much compared to surrounding places.

We visted the Hilton Athens for our Honeymoon and were very impressed. The outside of the hotel (and pretty much every building in Athens) looks older but the inside is very nice. We stayed on the executive floor and enjoyed the nicest view of the Acropolis available from our balcony. We also enjoyed the free beverages (including wine, beer, and cocktails) in the executive lounge. The pool is very big and very deep. Do not eat at the hotel there are much better places near by that the hotel staff can recommend. The Hilton has A/C but many places do not so if you go in the summer prepare to be hot. Happy traveling.

We stayed on the executive level and had a room with a view of the Acropolis. The hotel was comfortable; the room sufficiently large. The swimming pool is especially large and pleasant. Service was great, and the complimentary breakfast generous...as were the free drinks (wine, beer, softdrinks)in the evening. I would not hesitate to recommend it to others

No way is this a 4 1/2 star hotel. This has U.S. 5 star accomodations and you realize that the second the doorman lets you in the grand foyer. THe pictures are exactly what you get. Far beyond any other hotel we've ever stayed in Europe. Would be my first choice next time.

Nice hotel, ugly (but convenient) neighborhood, excellent professional staff, tacky ultra-modern decor. High-Tech computerized mini-bar charges you for items you don't consume so review your bill. Ridiculously expensive breakfasts (about three times what you'd expect to pay), overpriced Internet (but worked well).
