What to expect: Three blocks from Bellevue’s Meydenbauer Convention Center, this business-district hotel is a favorite of business and government travelers. The sprawling hotel is roofed with cedar-shake shingles, and the grounds are landscaped with fir trees, ferns, and flowers. Inside, the Northwest-style lobby evokes a cozy lodge with river-rock fireplace at the center. Potted plants and rustic-style furnishings complement plaid drapes, wrought-iron lamps, and various accent pieces. Black-and-white photos showcase historical Seattle and Bellevue scenes.

| When I booked this hotel I read the previous reviews and noticed that the only complaints were about staff and service. Of course, those things can be about timing (someone is having a bad day) so I didn't anticipate any problems. The reviews were so accurate! The staff have a general attitutude of not caring, and that was noticed by my colleague as well as other people in the lobby as the desk staff brushed off each request for information with an "I don't know" or a "We don't do that". My colleague who asked on information on tours for the Seattle area was told to look at the brochure rack, and when I asked for directions to the shopping centre I was simply told to go "out the back door and up a few blocks, then over a few blocks". The rooms are comfortable, the toiletries are from Bath and Body Works, and the beds and linens are indeed some of the most comfortable I have experienced. The basics are there....if they could only encourage their staff to recognize that the people on the other side of the counter are 'guests' and should be treated as such!

| I Checked in about 5pm The guest service agent was not experenced at all, and dont dare to have your garmets dry cleaned, I droped mine off with ample time to have them cleaned and the service never got done....no call ...no message just never got sent out. Service agent did not seem to care at all. If intrested in staying here DON'T save your money, You would have better service sleeping in your car. Sad but very true!!!

| Overall, it was a pleasent stay. The room was clean except there was a stain on the sheet. The bathroom is nice and clean. Quiet during the nights. I would stay there again.

| We arrived late evening and it took ages to check in. Likewise in the morning to check out, even though there were plenty of staff around in the back office.

| Stay somewhere else. The Restaurant called Jonah's wasn't very tasty and the service was non-existent. The Hotel concierge was unfriendly and abrupt. Guests were scarce.

| Red Lion in Bellevue is a good hotel for the money. It's updated and clean and has all of the necessary services for a business hotel. For the price it's a very good place to stay for business travel.
