| This hotel has a lot of style with a spectacular view of the city. It is in the perfect location for shopping and restaurants. I liked having the kitchen and washer and dryer in the room. The rooms are very classy and comfortable. I did find it difficult to locate initially because the hotel name is not very clearly marked. Just look for one of the tallest buildings in the city next to Albert Park.

| Wonderful location with beautiful views of the Sky Tower. Only steps from great shopping, wonderful cafes, and lots of activites. We even extended our stay another night because we loved it so much. We couldn't have asked for better service or nicer people. Highly Recommended.

| Just stayed here in Jan 2006 over New Years. Room with a view of the harbor, lovely. Very modern and clean. We used the in room laundry which was very well organized and helped refresh the wardrobe so you don't have to pack so much. Breakfast was fine. Locations is key here, only blocks to all the locations and in a very safe area. Albert Park right next to the hotel. Found staff very courteous. Bix center is in the basement and is only 1 computer and a printer...needs a little work. Stay here, you won't be disappointed.

| The hotel is new and modern. Excellent spa, pool, and gymn. Rooms differ, but are all beautifully appointed, with fine stove, microwave, refrigerator, all dishes and utensils, dishwasher, and even a washer and drier. We had a balcony looking across to a fine park that was excellent for strolling. Food shopping was a longish walk away to a fine supermarket. Would love to go back.

| The best thing about the hotel is it's location. The hotel itself seemed impersonal and the room was painted in dark gray and taupe, making if feel very masculine and the made the natural light from the windows seem glaring. The main reason for not recommending this hotel is because the lighting in the bathroom shadows your face so it is particulary hard for women to apply makeup. There were no mirrors outside of the bathroom. The living room arrangement was cramped. One thing lacking in the kitchen was a sharp knife which limited our choices for food preparation.

| We spend a portion of our honeymoon in Auckland at the Ascott. The hotel is very conveniently located, yet situated off a small hill instead of the main street, so it's not to noisy. The property offers suite style acommodations which were fairly spacious. As with most hotels in AU and NZ, TV screen was very small, but there are two, so at least you don't have to squint from the couch. Only drawback for us was no end table on both sides of the bed.
