Access to the adjacent Paradise Tennis Club (at additional charge) and complimentary shuttle transportation to John Wayne Airport are also available. The hotel offers three outdoor pools with spa tubs and spacious sundecks. A full-size sand volleyball court, shuffleboard, and Ping-Pong are also available. A complete fitness center features the latest cardio equipment with individual flat-screen TVs. The property is also home to an award-winning nine-hole, par three executive course. The concierge can arrange tee times at nearby 18-hole championship courses. The hotel's Palisades Tennis Club, site of several major World Team Tennis events, offers 16 lighted championship courts, with professional staff available for private lessons (surcharge). Features
What to expect: Guests enter a lobby with terra-cotta tile floors and a stone fireplace in a mission-style building. Groups, business travelers, and vacationers are all accommodated at this relaxed resort, lushly landscaped with numerous species of palm trees and other tropical plantings. Guestrooms are spread among the four one-, two-, and three-story buildings, which share three outdoor pools. Amenity highlights: Recreation-minded guests will find plenty to do here, with the nine-hole, par-three executive golf course, three beautifully landscaped outdoor pools, spas, shuffleboard, volleyball, table tennis, an adjacent tennis club (fee), and bikes for rent. Newport Dunes Aquatic Park is steps away, with a beach and swimming in gentle bay waters. The hotel's Summer Jazz Series hosts renowned jazz stars on Friday nights, June through October, in the outdoor amphitheater. Insider tip: Upper Newport Bay Ecological Reserve, a short walk from the hotel, is one of Southern California's few remaining coastal wetlands, and is home to 200 resident and migratory bird species. Visitors may jog or cycle along designated trails, or join a guided naturalist-led tour.

| The one good thing I have to say is, hotel rooms were clean. Although that was the worst serivce I have ever had in my life, and I have stayed at many hotels. My husband and I first could not get through to call for a bell man for appox. 15-20 mins, then once we did we waited for 45 mins. and no one ever came. So I walked down to see what the problem was and the front desk told me someone would be right up, we waited another 20mins no one ever came. We ended up carrying our own bags all the way to the front! My worst experience with a hotel EVER!

| This hotel was very nice and comfortable. I didn't spend much time at the facility, but it has a resort type feel to it with several swimming pools, an amphitheater and very nicely kept grounds. Access was easy and the location was convenient. The rooms were nicely decorated, comfortable, and quiet. Room service was reasonably priced and the food was good.

| I checked in at 11:00 pm at night and wanted to leave early the next morning, on business. They gave me a room that was half a mile away from the lobby. The room was in a shared villa that was locked by another guest, so I had a lot of trouble getting into my room.

| Rooms were small. particularly the bathroom. The location is good and the grounds are beautiful, but the pool was too cold for swimming. Our room backed up aginst the back bay and a few evenings the room smelled like sewage we requested a change which was accomodated. Overall unimpressed value for the price.
