The outside pool was great for the kids--although adding chemicals and closing it for almost an hour on an 85 degree day seemed ridiculous. Also, there is little "free TV for kids" in the downtimes. Even DisneyChannel was "pay to see". We liked the convenience to food and metro line for DC attractions. The hotel was good on the weekend for a family, but a business conference on Monday kind of filled up the place. It made us a little uncomfortable to be wiggling between all the suits in our casual clothes and bathing suits.

If you want to walk to Adams Morgan, Dupont Circle, Foggy Bottom and even Georgetown, this hotel is well-located. But, our room was dusty, there was dirt in the corner of the bathroom floor, and the room was nothing special. The bed was comfortable, though, with nice bed linens. Because this is a large, convention-type hotel, it was easy to grab a cab at the front door or arrange for a shuttle to the airport. The fresh fruit and coffee we ordered through room service were excellent, but expensive.

The hotel restaurants, although pricey, were very good. Front desk and conceirge staff were excellent. However, I would stay away from the Tour Desk on the Terrace Floor. The staff on the Tour desk are not very knowledgable. You would be better off purchasing tours directly from the tour lines involved. The rooms are comfortable and clean, and the service was great. I would recommend this hotel, and I would stay there again when in D.C.

The hotel was ok. Generally really not bad, but i think that they can work a bit on the behaviour of their staff as well as on the cleanliness. Also it is not very appealing if you have to stumble over the same room service leftovers in the evening as you already did in the morning.

This is a mega hotel that hosts the largest events in DC. The public space could use an updating, but the room was newly decorated, clean and very comfortable.
