| Not all rooms are created equal evidently. The hotel is wonderful but there are only two floors. Most guests stay in the lodges which are rather nondescript on the outside (dark brown wood with no distinctive features) and plain on the inside. The resort is on an island and the lodges all face the lake. Not only were we relegated to a lodge room but we got one (maybe the only one) facing a parking lot and in addition were put in the most remote location during a recent weekend with lots of vacancy. Consequently, we needed to drive to eat, use the spa or just plain see another human being! I'm recommending the hotel because of the food and facilities. The room was a real disappointment.

| A beutiful hotel with a little something for everyone... For the the family members that ski, the shuttle bus to Gore was very convienant... 35 minutes and they drop you off 100 feet from the lodge... no lugging equipment and battling for space in the no parking zone. This left the family car available for mom and toddler to go site seeing... Also, sledding at the golf course keeps the non skiing youngsters occupied. After skiing the pool was a hit...
