| in general, I am very happy with this hotel. I've been there for 3 days during my honeymoon trip and I can recommend it for it's convenient location near main highway as well as for it's comparatively very clean conditions in relation to the pricing. I have nevertheless complain about one situation that happened on our last day, i.e. the doors to our room were left open probably by the hotel service for the whole day.

| We were 2 adults and 3 children and we were not confortable. The room looks cheap and dirty. The Air Conditioner is noisy. You would not have room service, you have to go to front desk for any aditional towels, bed, etc. Breakfast could be served on real dishes and not on throw away.

| staying at the california suites hotel was very satisfying. At first when i saw it, i wasn't too excited about staying, but once i walked into the hotel, there was a beautiful fountain that greeted me. the customer service was wonderful! the pool and the room was clean. no bugs or critters...Huge PLUS!

| Very slow response to early check-in. Waited until 3pm to get room ready. Waited 3 hours and maid was on phone in room for an hour.

| Everyone at the hotel was friendly and helpful when I was in need of more pillows, a roll-away bed, more towels or directions to a local shopping mall. The room was clean and the bed was comfy. Continental breakfast was light - just enough. Conveniently located to all local attractions.

| I picked this hotel based on previous reviews and the low cost. As mentioned before, this is an older hotel... although not run down, and the pillows were small. Other than that, I have no complaints. Our room was very clean every night, bathtub scrubbed, floor vacuumed, totally cleaned. The front office staff was pleasant... there were plenty of parking spaces and the grounds are very nice. This hotel is very close to the highway, a Wal Mart, grocery stores and plenty of restaurants. We stayed for an event at the convention center and the drive downtown was very easy from this location. We had a very good experience staying here. It was well worth it for the cost.

| We stayed at this hotel from July 1- July 8 and I have to say I was very satisfied. There was three adults and two teenage boys and we were pretty comfortable (air mattress we brought made the sleeping arrangements better)I wasn't sure whether or not to book this hotel due to some of the feedback I got from the reviews....but it was alot nicer than we expected! The landscaping, trees, waterfountains were beautiful! We took lots of pictures and the swimming pool was pretty big and very, very clean. The hotel and landscaping was very neat and clean. (hotel could use a paint job...but was descent looking) I was quite surprised to see a security guard at the gate when we were trying to get in through the parking lot (and also slept better knwoing he was there) I did not here any noise? (which the reviews complained about) in fact I think we might of been the loud neighbors with our teenage boys laughing all night. The beds were comfty, the only small compaint I heard from my family was the shower head was to short (I am 5 feet 3 inches...so I was fine) but other than that...we were all quite satisfied. If you are looking for a place to sleep and want to be near all the main attractions like Seaworld, Zoo,Coronado Beach and La Jolla Beach...we also went to Laguna Beach and LA....this hotel took us straight to the freeway we needed to be on, then this hotel is the place to stay
