My husband and I stayed at this hotel for 7 nights. The first day we changed our room without unpacking because the room was very shabby. The walls in the room were plastered for repairs and not painted. The new room assigned to us was not much better. The clothing rack was falling down; hanging away from the wall. The bed linen was dingy, the bathroom towels were as ruff as sandpaper and dingy. I am not sure wether the bed linen was changed between guest stays. We did not feel comfortable sleeping in these beds. The blankets were shabby with cigarett burns. On the 5th day I had to request a change of linen. Also, on top of all of this, we were locked out of our room twice during the 7 day stay. Why? We never received a feable explanation from the staff; they simply gave us new keys. I would not recommend this hotel to my worst enemy. Stay Away!!!!

My husband and I flew in on a Saturday Morning I phoned the hotel a week earlier to inquire about early check in's I explained that we were coming in from New Jersey for a Wedding and that we would need to check in early the hotel responed that would not be a problem unless they book all rooms when we arrived all rooms were booked and we had to wait. fortunally the Hotel Clerk did work with us and had a room ready around 12:30pm. I feel special arangments should be made for guest coming in from out of town.

My wife, daughter, and I stayed at the NCI from June 21 through June 24, 2006. Our room smelled as though someone had thrown up in a drawer. When I told the front desk about the problem I was informed they would take care of it. They didn't. On the second day at the motel we did not get room service. Again I told the front desk, as we were going out for the day. Nothing changed. No clean towels, no beds made, no room service. Last thing they don't mention in the ads: The nearby airforce base flies C-17's low and slow over the Motel as they come in for landing. Very loud and not a nice surprise after the condition of the room. On a good note, the restaurant served a very good breakfast and the staff their was great.

Extremely friendly and helpful staff, however the rooms were a bit lacking. There was a small hole in the room I stayed in, in addition to the fact that bugs were all over the place.

Overall, I think that the hotel was a good economy hotel. The location was convienant to the Convention Center around the corner, and overall the condition of the hotel was nice. It's an older hotel, and could possibly use some upgrades and refurbishment. However, the AC in the room worked well and kept the room nice and cool, and the room itself was decently kept. The bathroom could have used some work, as the bottom of the shower was starting to warp a bit. So, it wasn't amazing, but it was a nice hotel that I would stay in again.

The air conditioner wasn't working when I arrived and wasn't repaired until 5 pm the next day. The shower held water, there was a leak by the bathroom and the carpet stayed wet. The vanity sink stopper wasn't working and there were ants. Not to mention I had to deal with the mainteance guy making inapproriate slurs. The ice machine by my room wasn't working from day 1, they were made aware of it. I had to walk to the other side of the hotel to get ice.

Very good: Breakfest. Ham, eggs, potatoes, sausages, fruits, juice, coffee etc. Good: Nice and fast service, location easy to find(next to exit 213 on 26 highway), pool, no heavy traffic. Not so good: a little bit old for some fancy people, no microwave or mini-bar (maybe is in some other rooms), occasional airplains. No good at all: some noisy people behind my door. This was hopefully just a coincidence. Other: a waiter in nearby restaurant was not very impressed when we said where we stay. He didn't say any reason though.

This hotel is conveniently located, and the breakfast is good. But, the room smelled musty, and the a/c didn't keep the room cool and the temps were in the low 80's. The hotel was definitely in need of some work, the carpet was new, but the bath fixtures were old, and needed replacing. Also, there was a loud party one night. If I had to go back I'd try a different motel, there are several newrby in North Charleston.
