| The Westin Nova Scotian wasn't as modern as I expected and the room was not very big, but the rooms are clean and the service was fantastic! The concierge gave us many great tips. It is within walking distance to most everything downtown so if you're only exploring Halifax, there really is no need to rent a car. If exploring outside the city, however, a rental car is a must.

| The hotel was convenient to both the train station and downtown Halifax. It was the main reason we chose it. Fitness centre was modern and up to date.

| The room was comfortable and quiet, wonderful view of the water, luxurious bedding, all the expected amenities. We walked to dinner at a great seafood restuarant recommended by the staff. Also lots of nightlife nearby.

| Expected a Hotel up to the Westin standards. This is a nice hotel but not as nice as we expected from a Westin - The bathrooms were small and far from their "heavenly" designation. Guest are charged for parking. The review on the staff was mixed, some very helpful and some with negative attitiudes, again less than what we expected from a Westin. Even making allowances for the fact that the Hotel was old, this was not Westin quality - Halifax however is a great town
