| The hotel is good for families with kids. The cheap rooms are very noisy since they face the main road. Choose the Marina or Pool view if you can afford it, at least you can sleep at night (or travel like we did with a mini-fan to cover the noise). The water in both pools was so murky I didn't dare to go in. It could be so much nicer if the pool areas were kept cleaner. After all, we liked the hotel, It's close to everything and kid friendly. We'll go back next year.

| Very comfortable and very attentive service. Excellent location, close to everything. Only downside was lack of elevator to second floor in BLDG 500, and slight paint or chemical smell in the room. Great parking near the rooms.

| Hotel is next to Sea World which is nice. It is about a mile walk to Mission Beach attractions, but the walk has great views. Rooms are well kept and clean. Parking spaces are kinda tight, so I woke up to cars parked very close to my new car and got a slight ding. Not happy about that! Other than that hotel is great and would stay there again.Try to get the new section which I was unaware of when booking, better rooms and views!

| Fantastic location - just over a mile to the beach, immediate access to a bike/running trail. 2 on site restaurants, reasonably priced and good food. pools are nice but could use more chairs. There are 2 sections: new fancy rooms and older rooms. We stayed in the older rooms, which are clean and functional but nothing special. Thick coats of paint on the walls, nice new crown molding.

| My family and I really enjoyed the location of this hotel. The staff were effecient and courteous. The room was average but comfortable-- we were in one of the older buildings. The amenities were wonderful. The only criticism was that the water pressure in the shower wasn't good, plenty of hot water... just no umpf. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting San Diego.

| The hotel was really great: nice, helpful staff, beautiful landscaping (with labels on exotic plants), great pools and spa, and wonderful location - we could walk to Seaworld (although they have a shuttle). They also have a concierge service which was very helpful. The rooms, while nicely furnished, were on the smaller side and the room air conditioner wasn't fantastic. These were easy to overlook given all the other plusses. For a vacation with kids, this spot couldn't be beat!

| This was a good location for Sea World and other "fun in the sun" activities. We couldn't get into the newer building with the deal we got, but we hung out at the newer, nicer pool and ate at the newer restaurant, which made the stay much better. The beds don't have fitted mattress covers, which makes them very uncomfortable, but I ordered extra blankets and tucked them inside the fitted sheets. That fixed that problem. Concierge helpful. If I was going to hang out in the room I wouldn't stay in the older building again.

| The staff were friendly and helpful but I had requested a crib and confirmed with a phone call and an email, whuch they said would be in the rrom when we arrived. When we arrived, the crib wasn't there. We had to wait several hours for it to be delivered to the room, way too late for the baby's nap. We were on the second floor. It was very noisy when people walked by our door. In addition, the neighboring room doors slammed shut, all night long! The decor was nice and it appeared the rooms had been recently updated. It was done sloppily, though, like no one had inspected the work (the door and window molding had sloppy caulking jobs, and there were white paint drips all over the corridor floors). The location was great for Mission Bay and Sea World but I'm going to try a different hotel next time.

| We had a deluxe bayview room with 2 queen beds and a sofa bed. It was perfect for our family. The room had ample space and a great view. Our kids enjoyed the pool, and we enjoyed the stroll along the bay and the marina. We will go back and stay at the Dana in a heart beat.
