    Features
What to expect: Rising 113 stories, the tower is the tallest free-standing structure in the West. Elevators whisk guests to indoor and outdoor observation decks with 360-degree views of the mountain-ringed desert valley. At night, the valley becomes a neon sea. This hotel appeals to both budget-minded vacationers and families.

Amenity highlights: The tower offers a revolving restaurant, a lounge, the world's highest rollercoaster, and "The Big Shot" ride, in which thrillseekers are thrust up the tower's needle and repeatedly dropped down. Insanity, the newest ride, holds 10 passengers in "escape-proof" seats as it spins at 40 miles per hour. Other amenities include cabanas furnished with a ceiling fan, television, telephone; padded lounges can be rented around the large, eighth-floor rooftop pool, which contains basketball hoops and a volleyball net. There is also a 12-person, freeform spa. Also within the pool complex is a fitness center with an outdoor free-weight area.

Top of the World Restaurant - Some 1,000 feet above Las Vegas, this revolving restaurant offers casual lunches and fine-dining dinners, including a signature Chocolate Stratosphere dessert, in the shape of the tower, that gratifies two. On a separate level, a lounge offers cocktails and live music at night.

The Crazy Armadillo Oyster Bar - This lively spot features exotic drinks, seafood, and live music.

The Courtyard Buffet - This large restaurant provides breakfast, lunch, and dinner buffets.

Roxy's Diner - This restaurant serves fast food in a 1950s-style setting.

Lucky's Café - The 24-hour coffee shop features a vintage Vegas theme and light meals.

Hamada Asian Village - The feature here is Japanese food.

Fellini's Ristorante Italiano - Fellini's serves regional Italian fare.

Room service is available 24 hours.

In the Broadway Showroom, Viva Las Vegas entertains with variety acts in the afternoon, and at night American Superstars presents a tribute to famous musicians.

An Outdoor Events Center periodically offers boxing matches, concerts, and other shows.

The tower's indoor observation deck offers Vegas Uncovered, an audio tour of the sprawling views below.

Comprising more than 100,000 square feet, the casino supplies slots, video poker, backjack, craps, roulette, baccarat, pai gow, keno, and a sports book.

Stratosphere Player's Club offers membership cards that earn cash-back points and discounts on facilities for slots and gaming-table play.

    On-site rides:

Insanity - Newest ride, opened to the public on March 10, 2005. Located on Stratosphere Tower, the largest freestanding observation tower in the United States. Holds 10 passengers in "escape-proof" seats as it spins 40 miles per hour. Riders experience centrifugal force out over edge of Stratosphere Tower, overlooking city of Las Vegas, more than 900 feet below.

X-Scream - World's third-highest thrill ride, attached to pivoting track that propels the passenger vehicle over edge of Tower more than 900 feet above ground at 30 miles per hour. Riders experience free-fall maneuvers while racing back and forth repeatedly from the edge. Unobstructed view of Strip.

Big Shot - Launches 16 passengers 160 feet in 2.5 seconds at speed of 45 mph along 238-foot mast extending like a needle from top of Stratosphere Tower. Riders experience four G-forces on way up and one negative G-force on way down.

I didn't expect it to be that bad. the fact, it was the worse place to spend your night. not clean and the A/C is too bad plus too much noise coming from the A/C. i change the room the other one was worse. teh most funny thing, when u try to check in. i ask them to see the room, they told me we can't, but if you didn't like the room, you can switch. never recommand this trash to anyone. yes it's cheap, but u will waste your money for nothing.

We stayed at the Stratosphere for our honeymoon, and it was a great hotel. I recommend the Casino Suite, as it has a huge jacuzzi tub. The staff was very nice. Housekeeping is very quick and efficiant. Only suggestion: need more cocktail waitresses.

The room was very basic, no microwave, coffee pot, and the TV had very few channels and no pay per view movies available. I realize in Vegas they want you in the casino, but to strip the room down so, bordered on overkill. While we paid the "resort fee", we did like the fact that it included use of the laundrymat (no coins needed, unless you need soap).

The hotel was really nice. Me and my whole family loved that. As this was our first time in vegas we want everything to be perfect and this hotel gave us perfection. Staying here you are qiute close to the main things on the Strip. Can easily get a taxi in front of hotel, don't have to wait hours like in front of Bellaggio. Rooms are nice but I expected a little bit more space. The extra for Strip View Room is really worth the money.

Las Vegas is one of my family's favorite destination. Yet, this trip was not wholly for pleasure because my wife was participating 3 day convention at LV Convention Center. This hotel was an excellent choice. On the day of arrival, the person at check-in desk saw our 5 year-old daughter and upgraded the room to a new and clean building at no extra charge. To begin with, this is the cheapest hotel on the Strip but not the least hotel. The room is clean and very spacious. The pool is humongous and delightfully decorated. There are free balls, water volleyball net, and water basketball nets to play in the pool. My daughter just did not want to come out of the pool. The hotel ad says there is a free pool-side party on Saturday nights. It must be great with its large stage and all. Only one complain is that the hotel does not have automatic door from parking lot to hotel. It makes people with child on cart or disabled persons difficult to come in and out.

It's a good price for a reasonable service. Good beds, good cleaning, but the staff isn't much friendly. Don't leave without to enjoy the pool.

We stayed in this hotel for 4 nights. Two adults and two children. We got the room really cheap and we got what we paid for. We opened our window blinds and it was like a joke... a wall about two feet away! We were not there to gamble and that is something I hate about Vegas, everything centers around them wanting you to gamble. The parking garage is a mile away, the TV channels stink, you have to walk through the casino to do anything. Thankfully, after two days, we found a back door to a parking garage where we kept our rental car. But never again. Next time I will pay more to get more.

The A/C had two positions, OFF and HIGH which made for noisy sleepless nights. The toilet tissue rolls are mounted on the wall in your lap when you sit upon the toilet, forcing you to sit cattywampous on the seat.
