| Although I was only there on business (in August 2006), I wish I could have stayed forever! The staff was very friendly and accomodating, and the area was perfect. The room was a little small, but the bed was comfy. Overall, it was a great hotel.

| I didn't expect too much but knew I'd love the location. Wow, this hotel is lovely. Clay tiles, marble, carved wood, restored antiques... a visual feast. A little musty, is all. The room was a nice size and the beds very comfortable. NYTimes delivered for free, Starbucks coffee in room, a fridge, cotton robes, wireless internet. I asked for a quiet room, and it was! Abundant nightlife at the bar and the lovely patio facing the street. Staff couldn't have been more gracious. Loved it.

| The St. Francis is in a great location in downtown Santa Fe, just a few blocks from everything. The hotel is historic, lovely and well-maintained. The rooms are on the small side but otherwise charming. There is a restaurant and separate bar that serves food until late.

| We have stayed at the St. Francis a number of times before this last trip. The location is excellent, rooms clean and service pretty good. This time we left feeling that it was time to find another place when visiting Santa Fe. It is an old building (1923) and it is showing its age. Clean but tired.

| This hotel resembles a hotel from the late 19th or early 20th century, which is both good and bad. If you demand modern comforts like large rooms, even floors, good plumbing, fast elevators, internet, etc., then you should probably stay elsewhere. However, if you like elegance, old-world charm, cleanliness, and a polite and efficient staff, then you should stay at this hotel. Personally, I really liked this hotel a lot, but you need to be willing to forfeit some modern conveniences. The hotel does compensate by being very tastefully decorated, having wonderful architecture, and having an atmosphere that I have seen in very few other hotels. This old-world feel is also a perfect match for Santa Fe and will make the overall experience of your visit complete.

| While the service was pretty good, the hotel room was terrible. The "king" bed had 2 twins pushed together with a 4" discrepancy. The sink is out in the room and enough towels for one person. The shower head was terrible. When I asked about these problems, the staff said, "it's Santa Fe" or it's a "European hotel". I've stayed in better hotels deep in India!

| The hotel has charm, the right location, and the staff are great. If you like hotels with old elevators (no worries it works fine), 4:00 tea near the fireplace, a cozy room, and high speed internet, this is the place.
