| Others have complained about entry only thru the garage. This is not pretty, but avoids the problem of coming thru a lobby looking less than beautiful, and allows you all the time you need to get your stuff together and up the elevator. Elevators are slow, especially at check-out time. Bathrooms need vent fans!! Found a pair of "unmentionables" on floor of closet. All else was very satisfactory. Would probably go there again.

| This hotel was not the 3.5 star hotel we were expected. The room was small, the a/c unit rattled ,and even small things there were extra charges for example like bottled water left in room was charged for. Forget the restaurant, breakfast was terrible. take food with you because it is extreamly hard toeven get back to a fast food place. The pool is small and shallow '3 foot deep" and hot tub did not work.

| The Courtyard Marriott was very clean and comfortable. The maid service did not start knocking on doors early in the morning. This is important to a person who likes to sleep late when on vacation. The only drawback to the entire stay was that the restaurant was only open for breakfast. This could be overlooked with the great nunmber of fine restaurants offered in the area. The personnel were extremely helful and the hot tub felt great even on a 40 degree night. Having a parking garage made one feel safer than with a traditional lot. Overall, the experience was very good.

| This hotel seems most appropriate for the traveler who brings a car, has business at the Medical University of South Carolina or Roper Hospital, and who isn't looking to eat dinner at the hotel. Parking is free, and there is a convenient fitness center. With the pool, the deck, and many of the balconied rooms overlooking the marinas on the Ashley River, it's best in the warmer months. In comparison with other chain properties in the MUSC area, the rooms (and the price) are a step up, and there is a charge for breakfast. It's not a place for walking--better to stay downtown if you want to walk to dinner or to see the sights of Charleston.
