| Restaurant staff overworked. Some awkward elements such as staff talking loudly in the hall, delivering towels two times - bothersome.

| This hotel is much better than it used to be. It has long been the only place to stay in Claremont (other than very sketchy hotels by the freeway), and has finally been revamped. New bathroom fixtures, new furniture and carpet, etc. Excellent service. IFinally, a decent place to stay in Claremont.

| I stayed there when it was Griswold's many years ago. The new Claremont Inn (Doubletree) is so much better it's amazing. They spent a lot of money upgrading things. My one complaint is that they need more staff during high traffic periods as it took 15 minutes to check-in.

| The Claremont Inn is undergoing renovation. From the look of the room I stayed it, it will be nice. Someday. But now it is a mess -- public areas are dilapidated, construction vehicles are everywhere, no parking, still several items on the punch list have to be taken care of in the rooms. Wait a few months, then try again. Right now, it is definitely not worth the money.
