Features
What to expect: With all four of Squaw Valley's major conveyances to the resort's slopes located 30 to 100 yards from the hotel's entrances, family-friendly Squaw Valley Lodge attracts serious skiers and snowboarders in winter. In summer, guests enjoy swimming, sunning, and soaking at the hotel's pool complex as well as hiking, tennis, mountain biking, and golf. Guests can take the 15-minute cable-car ride to High Camp for ice skating, swimming, snow tubing, and dining. Amenity highlights: Six spas provide year-round relaxation. Two accommodate 18 people each and are located in a grassy courtyard next to a large, unheated pool. Three of the pools, accommodating four people each and heated to different temperatures, are located in an airy, high-ceiling room providing mountain views through many windows and the pleasure of a fireplace. The sixth lies in one of the hotel building's courtyards. Insider tip: To reduce guests' shopping chores, a grocery concierge can be hired to deliver organic produce and other supplies to their units while they play.
Note: This property does not have air conditioning.
The hotel does not have its own restaurant, but is 100 yards from Squaw Valley Village, which contains 30 restaurants and dining options. Nearby restaurants Headwall Café Graham's Mother Barclay's PlumpJack's

| We liked this location for access to North and West shore activities and river rafting was also nearby. It was preferable to the Squaw valley Village which had noise until very late in it's compound and units near that area were exposed to partiers well into the night. Our toilet functioned poorly and the housekeeper discovered the broken handle before we did but did not take action to fix it, we had to call it in and nobody ever came up to take care of it...so I fixed it myself. The room was clean and comfortable, with plenty of room to move around, good TV service, and a big tub/shower. Pool and spa were easily accessible and plenty big. Good family spot.

| I enjoyed my stay at this hotel however my boyfriend and I agreed that the bed was quite uncomfortable. We woke up with back pain as well as neck pain from the old worn out pillows. Other than that, the hotel was satisfying to our needs.

| We stayed at this hotel previously and enjoyed our previous stay. The most recent stay was dissapointing as the air conditioning in the room was functional but did not cool the room down sufficiently (and it was a hot weekend). The bed was also uncomfortable as it seemed to dip in the middle. The room was clean, so it met my minimum requirement.

| i've stayed here twice. the staff doesn't exactly bend over backwards to help you out, but they are not rude. the key is the proximity to the slopes - can't beat it. will continue to return.

| Stayed at SVL the first week of April and were very happy. It's clearly a condo facility and not a 5 star hotel but it does not pretend to be otherwise. Our studio was perferect for the three of us and appered to ether be reciently be refurbished or was just in great shape. Truly was ski in/ski out right under the gondola and five good kicks to KT22 Express. To the folks who complain about food in the village they must have been there at a different time than we were. We at ate Fireside Pizza, High Sierra Grill, and the Alud Dubliner and had wonderfull meals and service at each. Sking was epic. It just keeps snowing and snowing in the Sierras this year. GO THERE THIS SPRING if you can. We also skied at Alpine Medows and Northstar which were all very easy drives when it was dry and hazardous trips when it was snsowing 3 inches per hour!

| Great Hotel, located right next to the slopes in Squaw Valley. Try and get a 1st floor room near the outside doors for less of a walk.(bld #1 or #3) If you rent a vehicle, consider all wheel drive. We really needed it after 14 inches of snow in one day. The rooms have a mini kitchen, so stock up on breakfast and lunch items before you arrive.
