| I would strongly suggest this hotel for anyone traveling with pets. The grounds were set back from the main streets and allowed our pets to exercise in a very safe nice open grassy area. Even if you do not have pets this hotel is an excellent choice. It was clean and the standard room is larger than normal. The hotel was also very quiet..no train noises that you have at other locations in Flagstaff. I would return to this hotel on our next visit to Flagstaff.

| I booked this hotel for my stopover in Flagstaff because it had a free shuttle to and from the airport and we did not rent a car. When I arrived at the airport and called the hotel for pickup, I was told that there was no longer a shuttle service. The manager on duty did pick up the charge for my cab ride from the airport. When we returned one week later after our stay at the Grand Canyon, the manager did not remember us and did not pick up the charge for our cab from the airport. He was rude to the cab driver, telling him that the hotel does not pay for cab fares. The room was very nice, but the beds were uncomfortable.

| Although the hotel was located off the main highway, sheltered by beautiful pine trees, just getting through the back door spoke for its upkeep. The door was broken, and in bad condition. You have to shove it back into its frame to make sure it locks at night. As a single woman traveler, I was worried about my safety at night, if the door didn't lock after another person. The bathtub in my room was disgusting, and the floors were wet. Not to mention the dogs!!! There was no mention of pets allowed in the hotel. I woke up each morning with swollen eyes from the dog dander!! What a horrible way to spend time in lovely Flagstaff.

| The first impression was that it was an effort for the afternoon desk clerk to check us in. It apparently just wasn't his day. However, the morning staff was very friendly. Our room was relatively clean. The biggest complaint was the bed. I feel that it is time for this La Quinta to upgrade from double to queen size beds and also to supply new mattresses. The mattress was very uncomfortable, and we felt as if we were sinking to the middle of the bed.

| I was exited about the room because it looked very nice. But after taking a couple breaths I was overwhelmed by the smell of bleach, or some strong smelling cleaning agent. My girlfriends eye's were tearing up and she was coughing. So we opened a window and called the front desk. The employee was very polite and apologetic but couldn't do anything about it because there only other room left "smelled the same way" according to him. We slept with the window open and the furnace blasting to counter act the cold temperatures outside. I probably slept about an hour total. I think this may have been a chance occurance but it definitely made my trip alot harder.

| This hotel was comfortable. The provided breakfast was not anything to get up in the morning for. There is a Cocco's just across the street that is much better "value" in terms of quality food. Not a bad place to jump off to the grand canyon. Just over an hours drive on good roads.
