Features
What to expect: Under a white-wood dome ceiling, a circular open-air lobby is furnished with natural rattan chairs around a translucent dolphin sculpture, symbolizing casual, coolly contemporary ambience. Families arrive for pool and beach fun during non-school getaways. Adults come year-round for the sun, casino, and peace-and-quiet. Amenity highlights: Fronting the resort, a 1,000-foot stretch of beach furnished with lounge chairs provides access to the turquoise-and-blue Caribbean Sea. Terraced above the beach are a large pool, a 12-by-15-foot children's pool, and a four-person spa that remains open around the clock. Tiki torches illuminate the pools after dark. The resort's 10,000-square-foot casino is the only casino in St. Croix. Insider tip: A supermarket 5 miles away accepts telephone orders and, for a fee, delivers groceries to guestrooms, which are equipped with microwave ovens and compact refrigerators.

| Our stay was for one week. Staff very helpful and friendly. Hotel is located on the east end of the island. Rooms are clean, well organized, and spacious. All rooms face the water with a great view. Hotel has a nice beach bar, grill, and formal resturant. Numerous activities and tours are available right at the resort. It is a good idea to rent a car/ jeep as the closest town (Christiansted)is about 8 miles away. For great food, try Duggans resturant; it's just a few miles down the road on the north shore. We also enjoyed riding around the island, especially Cane Bay on the north shore. You'll find a number of roadside resturants and bars. The views from the hillside roads are spectacular. Just remember to drive on the left side of the road!

| Just yards from the beach, the rooms at Divi are clean, and comfortable. When you get up in the morning, it is so nice to pull open your shades to see the sun peeking over the hills and glistening just 20 yards from your door step. Also rent a car because you are 10 miles from the nearest events but the Divi does supply lots of fun activities. We are going back!!!

| This resort was really great. The service was superb and view from the room was spectacular. The only problem that I had was the cost of the food in the hotel. It was VERY expensive and unfortunately the cab prices were too ridiculous to go anywhere else. Breakfast was a minimum of $14 for two people and dinner was a minimum of $40 for two. But the food was very tasty and they gave you good portions.

| Our experience at the Divi Carina was wonderful. We arrived after a 30 minute cab ride from the airport and were greeted by friendly staff, who made our check-in process a breeze. Our room was great- right at the pool and with a wonderful view of the ocean! The bartender was excellent, as he was friendly and very helpful in guiding us to some great places to eat. We were never let down by any of the recommendations. Some staff members were cold at first, but if you treat them with respect and are not demanding, they will bend over backwards for you!

| We wanted to see something different after 7 days on the north shore of St. Croix and thought the Divi would be a good choice. Overall, it met our expectations. The south side of the island is even less developed than the north, and really was quite beautiful. The surf was much more rough and the beach was not exactly great (more washed up debris), but it is in a nice setting. We didn't go, but the casino looked pretty busy. The breakfast was OK, and the Manager's reception (Tuesday only)was really good with hot BBQ chicken, veggies, fruit, cheese and rum punch, of course. We drove from here to the airport and the views were often great with several great diving spots along the way. The rooms were furnished brightly with Ikea type lighting, etc with refrig, hair dryer and other expected amenities. Very comfortable king bed with balcony ocean view. There were a fair number of kids in the pool so I'm guessing a lot of families stay here. Rent a car if you want to go anywhere from here.

| Beautiful Hotel and location. Very pleased with everything except the attitude of most of the staff. I counted three people who were friendly when asked a question or for a service. The rest left me feeling I was a bother if they needed to help me.

| Upon arrival, the hotel looked quite nice. The service here, however, leaves MUCH to be desired. The wait staff at Big Al's poolside diner were good and quite pleasant. Their nicest restaurant [the Starlite Grille], however, had one waitress for the entire restaurant. Several others were seated and ended up leaving due to no service. We received our initial drink order, along with water and that was it. The soup and entree's came out luke warm at best. There is one pool which was green, not crystal blue as it looks in the brochure. There was also a film of dirt which lined the edges of the pool. Does not seem that this pool is maintained as it should be. The casino is across the street and extremely small. The only good thing about this trip was that we left with some of their money.
