Features
What to expect: Elegance reigns at the Miramar, which still attracts celebrities and political bigwigs. The entrance is via a long, horseshoe-shaped driveway, sheltered by a canopy of mature trees and tended by a battalion of efficient valets. The hotel presents two faces—the original six-story Palisades Wing that exudes tradition, and the more contemporary, 10-story Ocean Tower addition. Amenity highlights: Public areas are sleek and polished. The beautifully landscaped courtyard shelters the swimming pool and koi pond, and the hotel restaurant offers California cuisine in either the dining room, with intimate seating and an exhibition kitchen, or on the terrace. In addition to a beauty salon and barbershop, Club Sante Day Spa is open daily, offering three types of massages and 10 kinds of skin-care treatments. Insider tip: Palisades Park, atop an oceanfront bluff across the street from the hotel, is one of L.A.’s top jogging and walking paths. Guests can work up a sweat while soaking up scenic views and salty air with the locals. After (or instead of) the morning workout, guests can pull up a seat near the courtyard koi pond, with its flowing waterfalls and sleepy turtles, to enjoy the coffee and pastries served daily.
The Grille - Creative California cuisine is served for all meals in this lobby-level restaurant with an exhibition kitchen, intimate indoor seating, and patio dining. The Koi Pond Lounge - This intimate lobby lounge, with views of the adjacent koi pond, serves cocktails, wines by the glass, and other beverages.

| Stayed there on a Saturday night. Excellent service - attentive but friendly, not cloying. The room was sparkling clean and very handsome. Great atmosphere. View of ocean better than expected for room type.

| Rooms are slightly dated and small for a hotel of this quality. The grounds and common areas are spectacular as is the general location. Well trained staff.

| The Miramar is a lovely hotel. The plantings at the entrance are exceptional, the service is prompt, gracious and subtle. The poolside lounge serves elegant, healthy meal choices. When the weather cooperates (usually), you can see the ocean from most rooms. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. Beds are very comfortable. Lots of restaurants, shopping, pier, movies, all very near by.

| Very nice, comfortable hotel. Its location is great as a jumping off point to a lot Los Angeles has to offer. Close to a number of good restaurants on the Third Street Promanade, the Beach is across the street and Santa Monica is all around.

| We booked this hotel at the last minute and could not of been happier. The location, atmosphere, and service was spectacular. We highly recommend this hotel. If your planning a wedding this location is amazing. There was a wedding in progress when we checked in and we were completely blown away. It was soooo romantic and beautiful.
