| Anchorage Grand hotel is neat, comfortable and nicely designed. It has a small but fully equipped kitchen (including dishwasher and oven!). The location is very convenient--clost to downtown and railroad station. We took train down to whittier for our cruise, so it worked out well. Overall, it is a wonderful place to stay. Although it's a bit pricey compared to other places, but all your bucks are worthwhile. Highly recommend Anchorage Grand Hotel.

| Reasonably priced for good location downtown. Parking close by. Staff very friendly and helpful. Rooms appear to be small converted apartments. Clean kitchen and comfortable living room. My only negative comment is that neither my wife nor I found the bed to be particularly comfortable.

| Hotel has modern furnishings, plenty of room, and a full kitchen. It was within walking distance of the Alaska train station, and Anchorage shopping and restaurants.

| I travel frequently to Anchorage for extended stays. When available I always choose the Grand; the homey feel of my room takes away the sting of being away for so long.

| This hotel is in the downtown area. Very clean. We had a corner room with a separate bedroom and small kitchenette. No restaurant but many are located within 1.5 blocks including a great place for breakfast and a brewpub less than a block away. We picked this for the price and location as we were on our way to Whittier for an Alaska cruise. The hotel is just up a small hill from the Alaska Railroad station which made for a short walk to the train. Same train goes to Seward for other cruises. Some train whistle noise but quiet between 11pm-7am. We would stay here again.
