| The hotel felt like a home where everyone hung out on the comfy couch in front of the fireplace. The walk from the lobby to the bar and restaurant felt like Santa's village. Staff was accomodating when asked for something. The breakfast buffet was tasty & hearty. Dinner not so much. All in all, well worth the price and a fun place to stay.

| It is obvious that there has been some money spent on this hotel, but there is still work to be done. The room still needed new furnishings and a new bed. This was one of the worst nights sleep that my wife and I have had in a hotel. We went to the bar for a nightcap and had to put up with foul language from patrons that were visiting with THE BARTENDER. Had one drink and left. Although the hotel is a bit run down, it does still have some charm of the old world. Go for a visit but don't stay there, even if it is an expedia special price offer!!!

| A nice old world feel that will take you back to a European hunting lodge. Staff is friendly and the rooms are pleasing to be in. While the color palatte is is a bit dated, the overall features will give a good night's rest.

| This is a hotel that I've been wanting to stay at for the last 20 years. Although it's a pretty cool hotel, with a European Castle motif, it has seen its better days. Don't expect good views out of most of the windows because the windows are largely stained glass, and located outside a normal field of vision (to see out the window, we had to walk over between a wall and a table and crane our necks). Still, our kids thought the hotel was cool, and although we didn't eat there, the restaurant menu (posted prominently in the elevators) looked outstanding.

| As a non-smoker, my first impression was that of walking into a lobby full of smoke. There were ashtrays in the lobby and on each floor as you exited the elevator, including the 4th floor which was supposedly a non-amoking floor. As I opened the door to the first room we were given on the 4th floor, I was hit with awful smoke stench. I returned to the smoke filled lobby and was given a different room, which also slightly smelled. All weekend I could smell smoke in the 4th floor hall, in the elevator, in the lobby, by the pool...everywhere. The hotel definitley caters to smokers. Also, the beds were terrible. My husband ended up sleeping on the floor! On the positive side, the pool was very nice warm temperature.

| The hotel was comfortable and in a good location, close to the Quad Cities tourist spots. The rooms could have been cleaner and the staff at the desk when we checked in were ill informed. The restaurant and bar were well attended and the service and food was above average. Overall with the interesting decor and reasonable price I would stay there again.
