What to expect: Inspired by a Mexican hacienda and beach resort, with plenty of land and water activities, the hotel occupies three tall buildings on 52 acres along the Colorado River. It's popular with couples and families who enjoy a self-contained resort but also want to be close to the action of the Laughlin Strip. True to the relaxed theme, casual attire is appropriate almost everywhere on property. Amenity highlights: There are two casinos, one for non-smokers, with 1,200 slots and video poker machines. There is an outdoor amphitheater and indoor lounge. Many of the hotel facilities are located outdoors, allowing guests to enjoy the waterfront location, where guests can rent boats, water-bikes, and personal watercraft. Guests can use the private sand beach or choose between two swimming pools. There are also a health club, massage center, hair salon, and shops. Insider tip: A water taxi is available for less than $5 at the hotel dock. Guests can ride from Harrah’s to any of the other waterfront casino hotels along the Laughlin Strip. Fresh Market Square Buffet - The hotel’s buffet restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and serves Mexican, Italian, Southern, Asian, and American food, including shrimp, prime rib, and a vast array of desserts. Casual attire. Cabo Café - This 24-hour diner-style restaurant serves burgers, shrimp, ribeye, and steak and eggs in a casual café atmosphere. The menu includes selections for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The dining area has a tile floor and ceiling fans. The Range Steakhouse - This fine-dining steakhouse serves appetizers, steaks, seafood, and desserts, and has an extensive wine menu. It features a romantic atmosphere with candlelit tables and a view of the river. Dinner only. Reservations are recommended. Baja Blue Restaurant & Cantina - Casual, family-friendly Tex-Mex restaurant open for lunch and dinner. The menu features Mexican classics and the decor is bright and festive. Diners enjoy an outdoor patio or an air-conditioned dining room. Club Cappuccino - Casual coffee bar serving gourmet coffees, smoothies, salads, sandwiches, and juices in a sidewalk patio-like setting. It is open from early morning to late at night. Margaritaville - Featuring bartenders with a flair for entertainment, the Margaritaville bar serves drinks, appetizers, salads, and sandwiches. It is located in the main casino. GuadalaHarrah's - This Mexico-themed bar is located in the non-smoking casino, near the entrance to the Range Steakhouse. It has bar-top video poker machines. Rosa's Cantina - This bar features multiple TV screens and bar-top casino games. It is located in the main casino. Cancun Lagoon - This is an ultra-casual poolside bar offering drink service by the pool and in a small bar area. It is open seasonally. Food Court - Cinnabon, Baskin-Robbins, McDonald’s. Cinnabon and McDonald’s are open during breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Baskin-Robbins is open from mid-day to late evening.
