| I booked this hotel through Expedia, the only review online was very negative, so imagine my pleasant surprise with the experience I had at the Gold Strike. I presented my ID and credit card at the registration desk, to be told, Ma'm, I don't need your credit card, your room is already paid for. Who has ever checked into a hotel that doesn't want a credit card imprint whether the room is paid for or not? This set the tone for my stay. I found the staff friendly, and the atmosphere low-key for a casino. The room was large and clean, the AC was adequate for the desert heat, the price was exceptional. They got the room type right with no prompting, (King, smoking) and had no problem with a requested noon checkout request (11am is their standard). I would recommend this hotel.

| Complete waste of money...even at such low prices. Unimpressive casinos, extremely poor service, and very plain rooms that are subpar. Not clean.
