The hotel was definetly not what I expected but I was really satisfied. I liked being able to walk from the sliding doors in my room to the swimming pool. The staff was nice and friendly. I was disappointed with the food because the menu on the buffett seemed to be the same every day.Overall a good deal for the money spent.

My husband and I liked the "vintage" feel of the hotel. The waitstaff was excellent and the drinks were NEVER watered down. By the end of our trip the staff knew us by our first names and catered to us often. HOWEVER..if you prefer the more modern hotel, this hotel is NOT for you. Cleanliness if not the best, and yes there were blackbirds in the eating areas. The evening entertainment was fun, and overall we had a great stay! Nice..but rocky beach!

After staying at this hotel for a week of very necessary vacation, I have concluded that it has been rated a little too harshly by other who may have been expecting something different than the very Mexican style of this "Beach village". It is not your typical hotel and thats what makes it special. With a beautiful ocean view from most rooms and a very friendly staff, this hotel was a large part of what made our vacation so great. The rooms and grounds were very clean, the bars were open all day and you are literaly steps from the beach. Some paint was in disrepair but overall everything was nice. If you prefer a vacation that is self directed and dont require the luxury of expensive hotels, the El Pueblito Beach Hotel can be a very affordable way to enjoy a great beach vacation.

This hotel is a colorful piece of work. It also serves an awsome selection of food and drinks, and serves the people at the hotel with great respect!

My boyfriend and I booked this hotel for the "All Inclusive" package deal for our anniversary. We knew it wasn't going to be all fancy shmancy when we got there. The people are all polite and very nice. The rooms were clean, and the beach was beautiful! The maids were very nice and always made sure we had clean towels, it is very out-dated with the style of the hotel but I have got to say that it is the only hotel on the Cancun strip that has that "Old School" vintage feel to it. It wasn't bad at all. Now we know what to expect when choosing for hotels. Food was alright, and drinks were limited unless you don't mind drinking "beer and tequila" all day and night. This hotel is great for "Spring/Summer Breakers", "Low Budget" Spenders", or people who appreciate the "Vintage Feel" of an old Mexican Villa. =)

The staff in this hotel is not friendly at all, Expedia offers an excellent price, I am glad we did not pay more than what we did. Good looking hotel but they need to keep it better.

good beach, plenty of chairs, free towel service, drinks flow freely all day long, food service is decent. this isn't a luxury 4 or 5 star hotel, so you may not be pampered here, but the clientelle is younger and less stuffy. staff is friendly and accommodating.

2 big problems, dining areas not clean, they need to buy new pots and pans and displays for the buffetts and black birds all over the main restaurant you can't leave your plate for a minute because these birds attack your food.

Let me begin by saying that I am not a picky person when I am on vacation...it is all about relaxing. My husband and I just got back from Cancun for our anniversary. We decided to stay at this hotel despite the bad reviews that we read about it because we figured the other people were just picky. Well they were right about the hotel. The food is absolutely horrible and the rooms are in VERY bad need of service. There are ants everywhere..including swarming around the food buffets. There were lizards on our bedroom walls. The beds were like concrete. The maids do not give you towels or water bottles unless you leave a tip for them. Please re think your stay here if you wish to have a memorable trip.
