Recreation
Golf alone makes West Maui famous. Three award-winning, championship courses nestle between the verdant West Maui Mountains and the blue Pacific in Kapalua, 4 miles north of Aston Paki Maui. Two other world-class courses are 3 miles south in Kaanapali. In addition, the Kapalua Golf Academy, Hawaii's premier state-of-the-art teaching facility, is located nearby. Two large, tournament-grade tennis complexes are also in Kapalua. A 5-minute drive from Aston Paki Maui is a shop that rents boogie boards, surfboards, and snorkel sets. Scuba-diving lessons and excursions can be booked as well as kayaking/snorkeling tours at the resort's tour-and-activity desk. West Maui offers the following recreational activities:

Features
What to expect: Small, quiet, and offering the personal touch of a friendly staff that knows each guest's name, this condominium resort attracts middle-age and senior guests who return year after year, as well as younger guests minding their budgets. Amenity highlights: Located in the peaceful residential community of Honokowai, this resort is a sanctuary for those avoiding the busier community of Kaanapali 4 miles south. Still, there's a desk in the lobby that can book tours and activities all over Maui. Many attractions lie within easy driving distance. Meanwhile, guests here observe plump koi in their pond, enjoy the sound of waterfalls in a rock garden dense with tropical plantings, and shop for steaks or mahi mahi to cook in the resort's barbecue shelter. Insider tip: All beaches in Hawaii are public. Guests taking advantage of the moderate prices at Aston Paki Maui can enjoy Kaanapali's broad-and-deep beaches 4 miles south, just like guests of that area's pricier resorts.
Though the Aston Paki Maui has no restaurant of its own, there are about a dozen restaurants of all price ranges with a 10-minute walk. A grocery store and many shops lie within that radius as well.

| The condo was nicely decorated, included necessities such as kitchen ware, dish soap. We loved the sound of the ocean waves at night. We swam and snorkeled right in front of the hotel. We found incredible snorkeling all along Maui's westcoast. We are 2 middle age parents w/14 yr kid & we took surfing lessons in Lahaina - great fun!

| First time to Maui and we all had a great time. Stay at Paki Maui Resort was just as great. We had the ocean front unit. The scenery from our balconies was post card like. Hotel/Condo personnels were friendly, welling to help and answer questions with big smile. Hotel/Condo location is convenient to supermarkets, restaurants and west Maui activity points. I would definitely recommend this hotel/condo to anyone who wants an affordable, convenient and comfortable place to stay in Maui.

| This was our first trip to Maui. The room was perfect & the view of the ocean was just steps away. The hotel furnished things like playing cards, videos, binoculors, etc. Those were nice little extras. I have already told my friends for when they go to Maui they must stay at Paki Maui.

| This was a dated but clean property that had excellent staff. Not for those wanting fancy lobbies, meals on site or a great snorkeling beach, however, it is centrally located and easy to get every where from here. We had a garden room on the 1st floor and it was great! Walk out of room to beach or pool. Nice patio and beautiful gardens. I liked the Hotel and so did the rest of our party.

| The locaction of hotel could not be better. The ocean view can not be topped by any other on Maui. The staff was friendly and delightful to deal with. We look forward to returning in the future.

| I would never recommend this hotel to anyone. Ants were all over the place and I never had a warm, let alone hot shower in the five days I was there.

| I loved it! We had a two bedroom, two bath ocean view condo. There was no air conditioning in the rooms, however during the weekend we went the weather was perfect and we kept our windows/balcony door open for a nice breeze through out the night. Even though they dont have there own sand beach, the grass area is perfect and snorkeling was amazing right there. If you want a sand beach, all you have to do is walk right next door (not far at all). The pool was perfect for my seven year old as it was only 4ft deep so I did not have to worry. Service was very friendly and even gave me a hug good bye! I am definitely going back there for my next year's vacation. Rooms are nice are cozy and well stocked. We planned our attractions there with the Expedia representative and save a lot of money!
