| Great location in the middle of Ipanema beach. Fantastic view from top floor restaurant. Lots of extra charges for everything including fitness facility. Service could be better---we found out last day that beach facilities are provided in front of hotel. Great restaurants in Ipanema, Leblon.

| Hi, If you're looking for a prestigious top-class hotel for business or pleasure in a traditional atmosphere, this is the place. The team in charge of selection and training of the staff has done an excellent job. The rooms are all identical, except for the (junior) suites of course, and the price difference is related to the amount of view of the ocean. Rooms are standard equipped for a hotel in this category. All the Brazilian movie and cable channels were available but the selection of International TV channels was limited to CNN, RAI1 and TV5; for instance no BBCWorld, at least not in the 2 rooms that I stayed during my 10 days. Visitors who only master the English language are left with zapping between (about) two channels but the movie channels are sub-titled and most of them are from the US. The hotel has a limited floor space and therefore the enforced classic atmosphere is all present. The public spaces and pool are not large in dimension. This is not a hotel to stay the holidays with kids and/or to walk in and out from the beach in your swimsuit and feeling comfortable doing so. More for visitors who need a prestigious hotel address for business and/or couples who enjoy a classic atmosphere in front of the ocean with top-class service. I hope that this will help you and that you'll enjoy your trip and stay.

| Very elegant hotel but yet "'tourist" friendly. Clean, quiet and comfortable with nice amenenties. Excellent location close to shopping and directly across the street from beautiful beach. Staff extremely friendly and helpful. Will go back !
