| Service? There was none. There is lots of space because you are staying in what used to be an apartment. Very old-I'm talking plaster peeling off the wall old, but it looks clean because of the fresh coat of paint they slapped on everything. Very old-as in you can't quite get that musty smell out of the bathroom. Very old- like you can hear every step the people above you took because the floors squeak so bad!The kitchen table was sticky when we arrived. And what was that wet spot on the carpet that never did dry the whole time we were there? If you expect valet parking, bell hops, maid service, or a TV that works, then this is not the place for you. But it was big and the complimentary breakfast was okay! And it is very close to the ballparks.

| We were very pleased with the hotel. The suites are roomy, spacious, and comfortable. The history of this hotel is fascinating. We would stay here again, no questions asked.

| Less expensive way to get accommodations for a larger group of people (as opposed to getting 2 or more hotel rooms) in Cincinnati. Basic kitchen (stove, fridge, microwave) suffices and living area is a bonus. Location is pretty convenient to Cinti attractions but rooms are not city-priced.

| This older building in an historic neighborhood has large suites in an interesting setting for the price of a regular hotel room. Walk through streets lined by restored old homes to the restaurants and shops of Newport on the Levee and the pedestrian bridge acros the Ohio river to the Cincinnatti waterfront.

| Small exercise/fitness room, and half (literally) of the equipment is broken/inop. Hallways are poorly lighted...feels gloomy. When I called front desk to ask questions/report problems, they "took the report down," but you could tell they weren't actually recording anything--just trying to get me off the phone. I actively tried to arrange an early checkout the day prior, since I would be departing well before the front desk opened. No could do, but the lady told me to just toss the keys in through the slot, and I did so. Then, they called me the next day threatening to charge me another day because I hadn't checked out--and it was the same woman who I had talked to less than 12 hours prior. She had made no connection between our discussions and the events of the next day. I love the location of this hotel. It is close to downtown Cincinnati, has a rich historical heritage, and has a European feel to it. However, the quality of service and amenities leaves much to be desired. Would I stay there again? Yes, because of the location...but I would think real hard about it, and a reasonably good deal at one of the downtown cincy hotels would easily lure me over there. They did mail me a few small items that I had left in my room--but were exceedingly ungracious about it.

| Great location, fantastic history, tons of room, great kitchen... and you want to sleep on a bed that they call a "Queen" from 1952, then this is the place for you. For me when my other half gets up in the night, I do not like feeling theres an earthquake occuring. Or that the bed is simply going to fall of the box spring, that is if they even had a box spring. The gym has old equipment. I would have to say if they upgraded the beds, this place would be perfect, as the location is only moments from the city. Its close to shopping, food, etc.

| What a unique hotel stay. The two bedroom suite was very roomy for 4 people...like an apartment. One would expect to pay much more for a place to stay like this one.

| This is a quiet, no frills, comfortable one or two bedroom apartment, with a complete and equipped kitchen. We almost always stay here when we're in Cincinnati. It is convenient to the levee, to downtown Cincinnati, the sports stadium and arena and the interstate system.

| This is NOT your usual boring hotel. It is indeed a bit of history but updated with all the modern conveniences and comforts. Rooms are all different and I mean very different. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, the stairs and entry both back and front are not handicap friendly. This is not a problem for me but might be for some folks. What a great value as well. And, a nice breakfast to boot.

| A hotel with a history. It just doesn't get any better than this! A beautifully restored building from the early 1900's with fabulous leaded glass windows in the staircase. Wide, quiet hallways leading to well laid out rooms. Our rooms were large and comfortably furnished. We only wished the weather had been warmer so we could have enjoyed the wonderful historic area and the "Purple People Bridge" spanning the river! We will be back!
