| First we arrived late because we were coming by car from Asturias, they give us the worse 3 rooms can you possible imagine, without air conditioned, and like a laverinto to get in to it, we didn't not have the services of some bady to pick the baggege they said that was to late for that services, we could't sleep at all. The second they get better we request for other rooms and they give us a better one. I realy reclaim about the services the give the tourist,we didn't like it.

| The El Colosso was a good find for the price. It had easy access to the Metro, was a block over from the Grand Via, and was within walking distance to almost all tourist attractions. Our only complaint was that our windows looked directly across an alley to another building, but since we were having too much fun sightseeing and rarely in the room, we didn't bother asking to be moved.

| Although the neighborhood appeared a bit questionable at first, The hotel itself was top notch. The streets surrounding us were quiet at night even though we were only a few block from the Opera Metro stop, and withing walking distance of shopping and other tourist attractions. The staff was great and internet use was free!

| This hotel had huge rooms for European hotels. They were clean and very comfortable. The only draw back was that the air conditioning was not turned on when we stayed. It doesn't get turned on until June.

| Rooms barely adequate, but the corridor walls and carpets very run down. All smells (food, cigarrettes) from surroundings came in. The staff kindly but quite uninformed about anything in the city, including a gross underestimate of the time required to get to the airport; we almost missed our return plane.

| Great hotel in a great location in Madrid. Within walking distance to the Prado Museum, the Palace and great shopping. The rooms are very nice and spacious. The staff were wonderful and able to speak enough English to communicate with us.
