A 4,000-square-foot, glass-enclosed promenade, which has comfortable chairs and sofas for enjoying music from the baby grand piano, stands sentry at the hotel entrance. Guests can indulge and escape in Spa San Luis, which offers an array of massages, facials, body scrubs, wraps, and baths, as well as a complete fitness center, boutique, and beauty salon. A 50-ton rock waterfall falls 12 feet over a heated grotto spa tub, and a 45-foot custom waterslide structure lands swimmers in a separate heated slide pool.

The Cafe - Casual dining for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Choices include a breakfast buffet, hot and cold appetizers, salads, sandwiches, and a selection of entrees. The Steakhouse - The Steakhouse offers an atmosphere of hand-crafted mahogany woodwork and leather furnishings. Resort-casual dress is appropriate. Swimwear, cutoffs, or jean shorts, tank tops, and hats are not permitted. Dress shorts and sandals are acceptable. The Bar - Entertainment, cocktails, and snacks are offered in this private lounge. Live piano music is featured Tuesday–Saturday evenings. Swim-up bar - Open during spring and summer, the swim-up bar offers cocktails and snacks.

| I found that as you approach the hotel there are no signs to direct you to an entrance, to a self-parking area, or to the reception desk.

| Although it could use some updating, the San Luis is a nice hotel. Galveston itself could use a fine luxury hotel, but, until that time, the San Luis is the place to stay.

| Wonderfull hotel, but the police in galvestion are rude and think they own the city. Every other block there was cop stopping someone and giving out tickets!!!!!!! Is this town so poor that when tourist or in town they take advantage of us to support thier salary! I myself was very careful not to get stopped but it was hard u have to be on your best behavier in this city. We will never go back to galvestion for this reason!!!!!!!!!!! US

| The San Luis was the nicest hotel we stayed in on our TX vacation. The entrance was elegantly decorated for Christmas and a Baby Grand playing beautiful Christmas music just enhanced the setting. Our room was large with a king-size bed and was very comfortable. The view of the ocean was wonderful from our balcony. The pool, waterfall, and lush landscaping provided great background for pictures. We'd definitely stay at San Luis again.

| Great valey staff, front desk check in and out, wonderful amenities, special touches...etc. Views from hotel room are stunning. Beautiful pools, waterfalls, very kid friendly but would be great for a romantic getaway also.
