Pink Sands Hotel Amenities
The main building serves as the resort's social hub. The decor includes richly textured, multi-colored East Indian fabrics, Balinese furniture, Moroccan light fixtures, and Balinese-style straw-paddle ceiling fans, as well as artifacts from Morocco and Asia. A lily pond borders one side of the building, and another pond is in the lobby. The hotel's library offers shelves of books and movies, comfortable seating, and a big-screen television with DVD player.

What to expect: One of the boutique resorts developed by Island records founder Chris Blackwell, Pink Sands attracts an international clientele, including celebrities, by providing secluded, private accommodations on Harbour Island, an uncrowded beach, and romantic dining. The resort is set in a gently hilly 18-acre tropical forest and features dense gardens, fieldstone walls, and pebble-and-concrete paths. Amenity highlights: A sand path through seagrape-covered dunes leads to an east-facing, 3-mile beach of pinkish sand washed by the turquoise Atlantic. On the beach, resort guests are provided with thatched shades and lounge chairs. Use of snorkeling gear, kayaks, and boogie boards is complimentary. The resort's swimming pool is bordered by trees and flower pots, and overlooks the ocean. Above the pool deck, a pavilion offers shaded relaxation. Insider tip: Guests wandering through the resort's forested grounds find lawn-covered clearings and tropical-tree groves with chairs and benches. These secluded areas are ideal for intimate conversation and leisurely contemplation.
Lobby Restaurant & Bar - Breakfast served under shade trees on lavender-painted wood dining sets. Dinner served inside amid main building's East Indian, Moroccan, and Balinese furnishings. Soft, amber lighting from candles and hanging metal fixtures. Appetizer choices include steamed mahi mahi, lobster with mango, warm goat cheese with asparagus and tomato. Entrée choices include sautéed grouper, grilled beef tenderloin, and chicken breast with broccoli. Blue Bar - Located on seagrape-covered dunes above the beach. All-blue decor, including furniture, floor, napkins, salt and pepper shakers. Open-air seating beneath wood roof or on a sundeck with table umbrellas. Serves lunch only. Menu features conch salad and fritters, cracked conch, crab cakes, smoked-salmon tempura, lobster quiche, burgers, sandwiches, salads, pasta, and grilled fish.
