Features
What to expect: Mirroring the old-world charm of a Garden District mansion, the Ritz-Carlton never fails to impress. Vacationers are greeted in a covered driveway and then ushered to a third-floor lobby decorated with antiques, Italian marble floors, fresh-cut flowers, and Romanian chandeliers. An enclosed courtyard garden provides a refuge from the hustle and bustle of the neighboring French Quarter. Amenity highlights: Guests enjoy 24-hour room service as well access to a 20,000-square-foot spa offering specialized treatments, including Napoleon’s Royal Massage, named after a treatment favored by the famous emperor himself. The hotel has four restaurants as well as a cigar-friendly Library Lounge. Other highlights include a health club, indoor “resistance” pool, beauty salon, and business center. Insider tip: Trumpeter Jeremy Davenport is one of New Orleans’ most popular acts. He appears regularly in the Ritz-Carlton’s French Quarter bistro restaurant, drawing tourists and locals. Dancing is encouraged.
Victor’s Grill - This fine-dining restaurant serves breakfast and dinner daily in an antebellum atmosphere enhanced by French doors, white tablecloths, and chandelier lighting. Menu ranges from steak, lamb, and chicken to Louisiana seafood favorites such as blackened grouper, and sautéed gulf shrimp and scallops. Intimate dining is available in “cheater booths,” private dining areas screened from the main dining area. French Quarter Bar (FQB) - Lunch and dinner are served daily at this casually refined dining spot overlooking the French Quarter. Wrought-iron balconies and arched windows complement a menu rich in Cajun and Creole favorites. Menu highlights include red beans and rice, pork chops with oyster andouille dressing, and prime rib. The Lobby Lounge - Antiques and original art set a refined mood in this lobby lounge offering daily afternoon tea complete with sweet delicacies and a wide selection of teas. The light menu also features sandwiches and salads as well as wine. The Library Lounge - Rich wood accents and leather furnishings create a private club atmosphere in this lobby-level lounge overlooking the hotel’s enclosed courtyard. A wide selection of spirits is offered, and the lounge has its own walk-in humidor. A selection of books is available for fireside reading. The Spa Café - Located on the mezzanine level, the Spa Café offers light and healthy meal choices all day. Spa robes are acceptable attire.

| The hotel is the perfect escape from the noise and smell of Bourbon Street. The spa was fabulous and very relaxing. The hotel staff and service was great. I would not recommend staying anywhere else for the perfect Bourbon St. experience!

| The location of this hotel is great! My only issue was the cleanliness and upkeep of the room by hotel staff. The throw being thrown over the chair, a hole in the washcloth, and pillows thrown on the floor was disappointing to me, as this was my first stay at a Ritz property. My complaint went unheard at the front desk, but was heard while innocently speaking with the hotel gym staff. It was a hit or miss to get results from the hotel staff.

| The Ritz Carleton in New Orleans is a fine hotel--excellent staff, lovely public areas, and a nice health club. The rooms are generally small, but very comfortable. The biggest problem is the seedy entrance on Canal Street--completely out of character with the hotel.

| Not quite up to the usual Ritz standards this last visit, but still a very nice hotel. Outshines almost anything else in New Orleans

| Pillows and bedspread strewn about the room is not my idea of making the bed, but the quality of the housekeeping was balanced out by the tapas bar and the wonderful chef. Location was great to do the French Quarter and catch the streetcars!

| This was the finest establishment I've ever stayed in. The service and amenities were first class with no stone left uncovered. The only complaint would be the prices of room service, but that's understandable because this is The Ritz. :)

| Thr Ritz-Carlton is truly a great experiance. My wife and I celerbarted our 10th anniversary this year in New Orleans and stayed at the Ritz, a classic 5 star hotel. The service at the Ritz is world class; our room was very clean and comfortable. The bed had premium linens and feather mattress. The Ritz is 2 blocks from Bourbon street and the French Quarter. If you enjoy walking this hotels location is ideal. We are looking forward to returning real soon.
