    Features
What to expect: The low-ceilinged, Art Deco-inspired lobby is a blaze of color, with a collection of modern art and sculptures highlighted by subtle lighting in shades of red, blue, and orange. Deep-red pillars, a swirling multicolored carpet, and large floral displays reflect the rich tones of the artworks. Business executives and shoppers sink into deep, half-moon-shaped sofas in purple and green.

Charr - Floor-to-ceiling windows, a marble-tiled floor, low ceilings with five distinctive light features, metallic wall sculptures, and bright orange chairs create a bright but intimate ambiance. It specializes in seafood and beef dishes, and offers a wide range of Australian and New Zealand wines. Open for dinner Mondays to Saturdays, and lunch on Fridays.

This hotel tends to favor the business traveler, but with a nice pool and excellent location for tourism, families too will enjoy this property. And almost right next door is a food court where one can catch a satisfying breakfast or lunch for a fraction of the price one pays for these meals at the hotel. The staff was very accomodating, and our five night stay was above expectations. Highly recommended.

Rydges Jamison is a very nice hotel at a great location. I booked a Jamison Club Room on the 31st floor for a few more dollars which provided a nice continental breakfast, and a nicer room. The room is spacious and with all amenities. Best of all, is located just minutes away from the circular quay, Sydney opera house, the rock district and Sydney bay bridge.

Pros: Great service, very clean rooms, most comfortable hotel bed we've ever slept on, great front desk service, and very central location Cons: Furniture and carpet are showing their age and hotel attempted to charge us for mini bar items not used. Most businesses nearby, including restaurants are closed by 4pm and are not open at all on weekends

    - Outstanding location. - Very friendly and helpful staff. - Wish they had free wireless Internet. - A couple of pieces of furniture were starting to show their age, but were certainly not in bad shape. - Overall a good value and experience.

We were on our honeymoon from the U.S and it couldn't have been more perfect. The room was beautiful and the view was spectacular. The hotel was in the perfect location, walking distance to eveything. Most importantly though, the service from all members of the staff was outstanding! We just got home a few days ago and I have aleady recommended this hotel to my family.

Hotel is top notch, close to both harbours and with great view of city. Able to walk to shopping, boat cruises, aquarium and many other must see and do things. Tour companies pick-up and drop off directly at hotel not some place you have to walk or take other transportation from. Staff were friendly, helpful and knowledgeable of city and things to do. Pool was beautiful, indoor and always clean. We enjoyed our stay and will definetly stay agian on next trip and have told all who would listen to do the same.

This is a great hotel in a perfect location. Walking distance to the Rocks, Opera House, Botanical Gardens, and Subway station. Don't be surprised by the $40 per person breakfast and other outrageously priced ammenities. You can find reasonable food and services not too far from the hotel.

The Rydges Jamison is a fantastic hotel. The rooms were very comfortable and roomy. The bathroom was luxurious with a large bathtub and separate shower. The location is fantastic. It is within walking distance of The Rocks neighborhood as well as Circular Quay. All of the day trip company's pick up from the hotel as well. We would definitely stay at the Rydges Jamison again and will definitely recommend it to everyone we know!

Hotel staff in all departments very friendly, efficient, cordial & accomodating. Within 15 to 30 minute walk of most attractions and ferry transportation. My only complaint is the sauna water temperature could have been warmer. Due to the design of the pool & sauna, people with arthritis, bad backs, or other type of orthopedic problems may find it difficult to get into or out of the pool/sauna.
