The visitor center for the 14,000-acre Minnesota Valley National Wildlife Refuge, one of only four urban wildlife refuges in the United States, is just 2 miles east of the hotel. Prime activities there include walking trails, bird watching, and nature photography. Also nearby are several golf courses and Fort Snelling State Park, with facilities for hiking, biking, skiing, and canoeing. The Mall of America, 1 mile away, provides miles of corridors for all-season walking. The recreational activities listed below are available either on site or near the hotel; fees may apply.

Features
What to expect: Business and leisure travelers are drawn to the prime location of this hotel. They're greeted by a comfortable lobby decorated with dark wood and hues of forest green and burgundy. Built in 2000, the hotel has all the basic amenities, plus microwaves, refrigerators, and VCRs in all guestrooms. Amenity highlights: An indoor pool and spa area, a fitness center, and a small meeting room take up the first floor, while guestrooms are located on floors two through six. Free shuttle service to the airport and the Mall of America is available on request (limited hours), as are business services.

| 2 days in a row the maids left our room door open and when we told the front desk staff they didnt really seem to care all they did was say they would let the maids know about our room.The hotel was really nice, clean, and comfy and was walking distance to the mall of america which was convienent

| They say they offer a shuttle to the Mall of America well guess again we were left at the mall 2 times during our trip. We left at 9:00 am to go shopping and were told the shuttle runs until 9:00 pm well they canceled all shuttles during the day because a driver did not show up..alot of good that did us we were shopping all day and had no idea of this. Other problems occured but I don't have enough time and space to put it all down.

| The hotel was close to the Mall of America, they provided a shuttle to the mall and from there you could hop on the train and go downtown Minneapolis.

| It was a great location from Mall of America. Amenities and overall room condition was good. Problem was shortage of towels and them skipping over cleaning/making beds in our room the 2nd day. We weren't that upset though due to the great price we got compared to other hotels around the mall.

| Very reasonable and close to the Mall of America and the airport. Unfortunately, the hotel was undergoing a face lift to become the Holiday Inn Express, so the entrance was a bit messy and they were replacing all of the mattresses in all of the room, so the elevators were very busy with mattresses. But all in all a fine value, and they gave free copies of the local newspaper every morning.
