| Great hotel in the heart of the downtown Norfolk resurgance! Nice staff, shabby-chic, restored historic building. Not a "luxurious" stay, but affordable, full of character, decent breakfast, on top of the up & coming Granby Street restaraunt cooridor. Impressed with Norolk and surprised w/ the Tazewell!! Will come back to both.

| The room was nice. The location was right across from the mall and near local restaurants and shopping areas. The only downside is that is no parking lot/garage for the hotel. The nearest paid parking area is about 2-3 blocks from the hotel.

| The hotel was overall okay, but there were a few broken things. The mirror in the bathroom was broke and there was no electric socket in the bathroom. The hotel had a breakfast, but it wasn't anything special - just juice and milk with cereal

| The people who work at the Tazewell are extremely nice. My room was big and clean and comfortable. The biggest draw back is the noise. You will get no sleep, so if you are there for something that requires you to be well rested, that is not the place to stay. But if you are there for pleasure and don't mind the screaming from the outside, or the slamming doors from the inside, its not a bad value.
