This hotel is a good deal - 9 out of 12 months, much like the rest of Alaska. During the summer it is quite over-priced relative to the product delivered. One problem that plagues Alaska is indolent service, and Pikes delivers - unfortunately. Perhaps its a matter of jaded locals who watch busloads of touristas come and go. The WiFi is great and the overall feel is warm.
