Hotel was under construction so it was not as nice as expected. Typical construction noise and look. The rooms are ok but not great. The beach didn't have the crystal clear water with white sand. The water and the edge of the beach where full of seaweed. Overall the resort was ok but the pictures on the web make it look a lot nicer.

This hotel is in the middle of a major multi-million dollar renovation. It's not the most relaxing atmosphere to be in at the moment. But it truely does have the best beach (minus the sea grass) in key west. If you are looking for a mini bar or fridge in the room - they are empty and don't work. Every recreational activity you can think of is provided at the beach for a price. Expect more for the money - but you make see that as soon as the construction is over

Hotel was well located to Duval and all thing things in Key West. Walking distance from Southernmost Point, restaurants and bars. Clean rooms, etc. The only thing is that the beach was not as clean as it could have been. Maybe it was the weather the weekend I went. Overall, good experience.

The location was great. It was close to Duval Street but not too close. The hotel was very clean but don't expect great customer service. Overall, my husband and I would go back to Key West but we might try different hotel.

Very romantic get-a-way. Beautiful, classy but not a bunch of folks with thier noses up in the air. Shula's for dinner! Great pool & beach bar w/food that is actually really good. Great value! Highly recommended. My wife and I are very happy we chose the Reach.

I was a little bit worried about coming to The Reach . I read quite a few negative reviews. Not sure what they were expecting. We found The Reach to be convenient, comfortable and relaxing. The staff was kind and very helpful. Key West is an old town, the majority of the accomodations there are old as well. But it was clean and worth the price. The beach and the pool area were great. Perfect for sunning and relax. Take advantage of the terrace areas on the each floor. Great places to get away from everything and hang out with friends. It was a great experience and we definitely plan to return to The Reach.

Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful from check-in to check-out. Hotel is located right on a private beach, just a block away from the southern-most point and Duval St. Walking distance to the bar quarters and Mallory Square, but away from the noise. Rooms and hotel overall can definetely use an upgrade. Bathrooms are clean and A/C works just fine. Our bed looked smaller than an actual "Queen" size bed. No A/C in elevators, which becomes annoying if you are staying on the 5th floor. Overall, I recommend this hotel if you are looking for a great location and not planning to spend much time in your room.

We stayed here 2 nights over the 4th of July weekend. There is construction going on at the property next door. We requested NS and received a smoking room that really smelled bad. I also called 2 weeks ahead based on reviews to request a quiet, upper room. I was placed in a room on the 2nd floor as close to the construction that you can get!? Lucky it was a holiday weekend and it wasn't as noisy as usual. The pool and the beach are a nice add. There aren't a lot of high end hotels on Key west, but if your looking for that and here you should upgrade to the ocean view and pay for it. The location is nice, 1 block off duval next to the Southern Most tip of the US. The main bars are a few blocks but an easy walk. They ran out of towels on the beach for a bit and our safe did not work. The double bed was small. If the hotel did not have a private beach and pool it would be considered 2 star.

The hotel room was not very clean. The bed was very small. There were dark spots on the ceiling and also on the walls. We checked in late, there was nobody to help us out with our luggage. The night we arrived there was heavy rain, but even after the room was cleaned up by housekeeping, they had left the balcony untouched so there was a big pile of dirty water in the balcony. The safe in the room didn't work.
