| Me and my husband spent three nights in Le Meridien Tahiti during our honeymoon in mid May 2006. We both agree that it is the second best hotel out of five we experienced in French Polynesia. We arrived in French Polynesia from Paris at about 5am and went straight to the hotel. Their check-in only starts at 1pm but they had our room available at 10am. Since the hotel was fully booked they gave us keys to their Transfer Room which was shared with several other guests till then. We stayed in a Lagoon View Room (the cheapest one) which was very spacious. The bathroom was big with a bathtub and a separate shower room. Although at the time the water flow was slow, and it was lukewarm at evenings, never hot enough for me, but my husband did not complain. Best of all about this hotel was the swimming pool; if you could call it that. It was more like a small lake, with fine sand as the flooring and clear aquamarine water. Even though the hotel was full, the pool was more than comfortable for everyone. Also, the garden around the hotel is fabulous with all kinds of tropical trees and fruits.

| The rooms are nice and the lagoon view rooms have also have a small view of the ocean. You only get one english channel (CNN), every thing else is in French. The food sucks and the drinks are expensive.

| We loved Le Meridien. Very clean, service was fantastic. We upgraded to a bungalow once we arrived without difficulty. Great beach, great pool. Only drawbacks - bungalow air conditioning was marginal at best, sunday brunch (not cheap) included a very loud clown show for all of the kids (not exactly the romance we were expecting). We'll definately go back to this resort.

| We stayed the day we flew into Tahiti and before leaving for home. We found there were much nicer and closer hotels to the airport that we would rather have been, we paid $25 each way. The rooms were in need of and update, the tile in the shower was nasty and the whole room was in need of a paint job. It was OK but next time I would choose a different place.

| Le Meridian is a very nice hotel. Is somewhat isolated from the main city, but is nice because the is no airplane noise like some of the other hotels. The buffet is really good, but expensive. The snorkeling and kayaking are good activities during the day. Speaking French helps, but is not a must. The staff is very friendly, but the service is lacking and is slow, but that goes for all of Tahiti and is not unique to Le Meridien.

| Le Meridian Tahiti was nice. We were very pleased with our lagoon view room. The sand bottom pool was a highlight and the free use of kayaks was fun. The only other nicer hotel on island is InterContinental. Some negatives of the Meridian were that the food was very expensive and not good. We only ate at the hotel once. Go to the market and Pacific Burger/Le Cigalon right outside the hotel entrance. The wait staff is not very attentive. Also be sure to REVIEW YOUR FINAL bill. They charged us for another room's dinner. They fixed error quickly but we were glad we caught the expensive error.
