I have never written a review for a hotel before but this one is the exception. This is by far the cleanest, most comfortable hotel we have stayed in and as a family we travel often.

Flew into Tampa so we could spend a day at Busch Gardens before traveling to the beach. Mainsail is minutes from the airpot but quite with a nice pool and bar/grill. Service at desk is only so-so. Suites are spacious and a great value.

I don't know why this hotel only gets a 2 star rating, but it's a far better hotel then that. The place is super clean and the room large. The only inconvenience is the lack of elevators. Our suite was on the third floor and briging up the luggage was a haul. It is however a great deal.

I was in Tampa for a week long seminar. The hotel was really an apartment - with full kitchen, living room and a nice dining room table - that I used as my "office". The complex had some nice ammenities, however, I did not use any of them. My only complaint (and certainly not the Mainsail's fault is that to get there, one must travel a very busy highway that is packed with workers at 8am and 5pm when traffic crawls. But I must return in December for another conference and will most likely stay at the Mainsail again - due to the apartment size rooms!

I don't really care about pomp and circumstance. I travel frequently and this is absolutely, without a doubt, my favorite hotel. It is well maintained, spacious, comfortable, clean, and has all of the ammenities that I care about. If I had to complain about anything, it would be that the reataurant is just ok, but I don't care since I can travel to any of a number of great restaurants in the area.

This hotel was a great find. I will certainly stay there again. Rooms are big!!! Seperate bedrooms offer privacy and comfort when traveling with others. We were very happy with our week long stay.
