| The hotel just recently opened, there was a changed in ownership so the hotel was completely unoccupied for about 9 months...condsidering that the hotel was in fine shape, plus it will improve...the only downfall was the air conditioner wasn't working very well in the room...wasn't miserable but could have been cooler in the room.

| The hotel staff were great, I was able to check into my room early due to the nature of my trip. This eased some of the burden with the hectic aspects of my trip. Thank you!

| Hotel service was great, and staff was very friendly. However the hotel seemed really old, and had very out dated furniture. I would recommend this hotel only to people who are going to visit ski apache.

| Our family enjoyed our 4 night stay at the Swiss Chalet very much. The staff was very helpful with all request and we especially enjoyed the fireplace in the bar area at night. Bonus features included the mule deer in the evening on the back lawn and ofcourse the hot tub and heated pool. My children (10 and 15) were very happy with the accomodations as well and it was nice being so close to the ski area (15 minute mountain drive) and the tubing area (5 minute drive). We are planning another trip to Ruidoso and I would bet money that we will stay at the Swiss Chalet Inn. I'm especially interested in seeing how the new owners will redecorate the hotel, but hope that they don't lose the Swiss-German integrity, it adds a certain something to the mountain experience.

| There were some minor blemishes with paint and walls, mostly in the bathroom. Comfortable and good view for the cost.

| For an off season hotel, no. I would search for better quality. For a low-cost place to flop during ski season, maybe. However, you get what you pay for.

| We were too older females alone. We were put in a room with french doors that did not lock properly and could not be secured well. The bathtub was a soaking tub with no rails to hold on to when exiting. Lots of stairs and no elevator. Definitely would not recommend to older folks.

| The hotel staff was friendly and helpful, and I did not have a problem getting the non-smoking room that I requested as I have at other hotels. The rooms are clean and spacious. Plus, the hotel is one of the closest accomodations to Ski Apache.
