Features
What to expect: The hotel's lobby—a narrow, marble-lined hall—bustles with vacationers and business travelers. It's also a meeting spot for local society types arriving for appointments at the hotel's day spa, and athletes and residents of the nearby Garden District entering the professional-quality health club. The hotel's brick-lined breezeway leads into a large stone courtyard dominated by palm trees and furnished with cast-iron furniture. Amenity highlights: The hotel's restaurant features local cuisine, with dishes such as gumbo and red beans and rice; it also doubles as a lounge. The hotel's Pro Spa health club (fees vary) offers a wide variety of exercise equipment, from free weights to cardiovascular machines. Guests also enjoy access to a ground-floor outdoor swimming pool as well as a rooftop spa and wooden sundeck with a 360-degree view of the city. Insider tip: The antebellum Ashley House, built in the 1840s, is located behind the hotel. It reportedly served as a boarding house for Confederate prisoners of war.
Mr. John's Steak and Seafood House - This restaurant and lounge, with the feel of a private club (wood paneling, mirrored columns), features American food with local touches, such as gumbo and red beans and rice. It's open for breakfast Monday through Friday, and lunch daily. Dinner is served nightly except Monday. Dominique’s - French tropical menu complemented by upbeat Caribbean decor.

| Enjoyed my stay, including use of the pool and fitness facility. Availability of refrigerator and stove for breakfast a plus. Especially like Garden Didstrict area, St. Charles streetcar line availability and hope that the Hotel will soon return to service.

| This is the first time share resort that had such poor customer service. The front desk and housekeeping take a long time to answer the phone. Maid service is done twice in a one week stay. Other days, customers are provided towels and trash bags only.

| This place so convenient to both ends of town, and also because of the kitchen facilities in each room. It is such a treat to make coffee in your room and have a fridge for your juice etc.
