| My room was on the 12th floor, just under the bar/restaurant. I was awaken at 5:30 each morning by the breakfast staff getting ready. Do not take a room on the 12th floor. The tv remote did not work when I got there, I asked for a new one on Thursday night and still did not have one when I left on Sunday. The shuttle service was good at dropping you off but terrible at picking you up. On the plus side the food in the restaurant was pretty good and nicely proportioned.

| The location close to downtown but separated by Interstate so walking and buses are not easy. The answer is their free shuttle downtown. Getting downtown was good but returns were slow at best. One hour waits were the norm and the taxi was $7.80. So daily costs were hit by taxi and limited food options due to location. The hotel resturant was good and resonable.

| Rooms are nice size and clean. Service can be improved, though - no towels when we checked in; free shuttle service is not dependable; staff at front desk is too relaxed and does not seem concerned about customer satisfaction, in general. Overall, the reasonable rate and good room make up for it.

| I reserved and paid for my room in advance and when I arrived, they told me that they had nothing available because the rooms had not been cleaned, and that I would have to wait till 3pm. After a 16 hour drive to get there I was not happy about that. I was there for three days and not once was I given fresh towels. Luckily I brought my own. I will not go back

| Didn't see any of the poor service I had read about in earlier reviews. Shuttle took some time, but drivers were very courteous and informative.

| A nice place to stay, especially if going to check out Mile High Stadium since it's in the back yard. Nice restaurant/lounge on top floor with decent views. Great, free transportation to Lodo area and surrounding. Right of the freeway.

| This was a last minute booking. We were pleasantly surprised with the result. The shuttle to LoDo was a welcome and accommodating benefit of this hotel.

| The only reason to stay at the Red Lion Downtown is the location next to Invesco/Mile High Stadium. Otherwise I can see no reason to put up with the high prices, surly customer service, and this beat-up second class hotel that the management doesn't think enough of to have remodeled it since the seventies.

| It's easy to overlook a few worn details in the hotel when you can WALK back to your room and avoid the long traffic lines to exit the parking lot or enter the freeway. The view was wonderful and the room met our basic needs.

| This is our second time staying at the Red Lion and we returned based on how well the staff took care of us the first time. They were all very friendly and we got to know them very well. The hotel does need some updating but we were not there to spend 24/7 in our room, so we were comfortable. Our second stay wasn't any different. Very pleasant and we will return again the next time we come to Denver. Thank you to all the staff for another great stay at the Red Lion.
