| The hotel is beautifully situated on the banks of Lake Erie and email accommodations are great. Our 3-night stay would have been delightful except for a series of distractions. Having arrived late on a chilly night, we turned on the heater to warm our room, which it did to a loud, grinding, grating noise that lasted as long as the heater was on. The noise awakened us several times during the night as the heater came on. The next morning we advised the hotel manager of the problem, and also that the sink and tub drains were not working properly. Later that day we were told that the repairman had "looked at" the heater, obviously true since it still made the same loud noises although for less time. The sink drain was cleared, but not the tub drain. We also learned that the elevators were not working and they were not repaired during our stay (we were on the 4th floor)! As I stood at the desk to check out, the clerk took 4 phone calls and 4 other individuals (2 manager-types) puttered about without offering assistance. This hotel could be a very nice facility, but the management needs to be more guest-friendly.
