Silver Legacy Resort Casino Amenities
An hourly laser show on the ceiling of the composite dome above the 120-foot-high full-scale mining rig highlights Nevada’s Comstock era and the life of fictitious silver baron Sam Fairchild. The casino houses 2,500 slot machines, 80 gaming tables, two keno lounges, and a betting shop. The Silver Legacy’s health spa features a Swedish sauna, spa, steam room, massage, whirlpool, locker rooms, pool, cardiovascular and weight equipment, and a sundeck. Airport shuttle service is free. There is also 24-hour valet parking and free self-parking in the garage.

Recreation
The Silver Legacy is a 40-minute drive to the closest of Lake Tahoe’s 18 area ski resorts. Golfers can tee off at 40 area courses around the Reno/Lake Tahoe area, six of which are within 7 miles of the hotel.

The recreational activities listed below are available either on site or near the hotel; fees may apply.

Features
What to expect: The Silver Legacy is a 1,720 room Victorian-themed hotel. The exterior facade of storefronts re-creates views of Reno in the 1890s and early 1900s. Interior décor includes international antique and art collections, dark woods, marble floors and rich colored carpeting. The property encompasses 85,000 square feet of gaming space and 90,000 square feet of convention space. It also houses Catch a Rising Star Comedy Club, six restaurants, and the world's largest composite dome (featuring a 120-foot high automated mining rig, and laster/light shows). Silver Legacy is connected by skywalks to the Eldorado Hotel Casino and Circus Circus Hotel Casino, spanning six city blocks.

Amenity highlights: The Silver Legacy's headline concert series, Catch A Rising Star comedy club, and 80,000-square-foot casino provide plenty of entertainment options. Guests looking for a more restful experience can take advantage of the health spa and adjacent seasonal pool, both tucked away in a quiet corner of the hotel.

Insider tip: The Comstock-era artifacts showcased in the hotel’s lobby are real—ceramic bottles, pitchers, and spittoons were all unearthed at various Virginia City dig sites, and are part of a rotating display.

Sterling’s Seafood Steakhouse - Sterling’s serves steak, veal, poultry, and seafood cooked on a mesquite grill. This fine-dining setting is dressed with white linen tablecloths and dark-wood paneling. Open for dinner, and an elaborate Sunday brunch.

Fairchild’s Oyster Bar - This nautically themed bistro features fresh seafood, including cioppino, crab cakes, and coconut tempura prawns.

The Victorian Buffet - The Victorian Buffet offers Chinese and Italian dishes, a prime rib carving station, and a wide variety of salads, pastas, and freshly baked desserts. A seafood buffet is served Friday nights, and Saturday is International Night.

Sweetwater Cafe - Decorated with murals and furnished with patio-style seating on the mezzanine, this 24-hour coffee shop dishes up early-morning steak and eggs, and late-night chow mein.

Fresh Express Food Court - This casino-floor food court offers an array of choices from Chinese noodles to New York style deli sandwiches and pizza, with patio-style seating under a leafy arbor.

SIPS Coffee and Teas - SIPS, located in the hotel lobby, sells a selection of gourmet coffees, teas, and pastries throughout the day.

Rum Bullions Island Bar - Rum Bullions’ open-beam, warehouse-style bar features colorful island drinks and dueling pianists nightly.

Race and Sportsbook Bar - Located on the casino floor, this is the spot to have a drink and watch the race, or game on downtown Reno’s largest video wall.

Silver Baron Bar and Lounge - The Silver Baron is directly beneath the mining rig under the dome on the casino floor. This wood-and-mirror paneled bar plays up the silver mining-era theme with antique cash registers and iron-mercury torchere retrieved from a private estate in Monaco. Piano entertainment is featured nightly.

Comedy Club Bar - Located just outside the nationally known Catch A Rising Star Comedy Club, this bar is the perfect place to order a drink before the show.

Top-name entertainers are featured in concert throughout the year: Tony Bennett, Olivia Newton John, Chicago, Kenny G, Huey Lewis & the News, Michael Bolton, Jay Leno, Blondie, and more.

Catch A Rising Star Comedy Club is also onsite (nightly shows, Tuesday through Sunday).

The hotel houses an arcade featuring games such as Daytona 500, Cruis'N USA, Virtual On, Cops, and Alpine Races. There is also air hockey, pin ball, NBA Jam, Bottom of the Ninth, World of Bowling, Golf and High-Impact Football.

The hotel services were O.K. for the price I paid. However, service of an attendant in the casino were terrible. For example, one attendant in the casion refused to give us small denomination change for no reason. So, we called her boss; the boss were more or less same. He didn't give us any explanation for that. So, we just left the hotel. Terrible & unbelievable experience! We are not going back to the hotel for sure!!

The hotel is nice but the pillows are very hard. I would bring my own next time. The pool is very cold and it gets shade real early. The food was good and the prices were good. I would stay there again.

Overall great place for the money. Individual service was lacking. Never got refrigerator we had arranged. Champagne & strawberry treat carefully arranged for by son as anniversary gift wasn't delivered to room until 4 days later at 9 A.M.. Restaurants were okay but preferred food in adjoining hotels. Slots were Cold but fun none the less.

my only complaint was the food. The buffet was bad and the other resturanuts we average. We went to other Casino's for our buffets. However, everything else was above average and we always stay here when rooms are available.

24/7 noise, gambling, and smoke in all the public places. When in town on business, it would be nice to experience a more civilized hotel without the same old carnival atmosphere.

Don't stay here if you are a non-smoker. No consideration for a non-smoking room even though I requested it. The staff was not helpful. No compensation for inconvenience.
