I've stayed at most of the hotels in Laughlin and I would say this is in my favorite three. It is a very big hotel, but they do a nice job making you feel welcome. They are actually changing to another company soon, so we'll see what happens.

This hotel needs improvement on the valet parking and elevators. They're super slow on these areas.

We arrived at the hotel late afternoon on a hot summer day. My kid wants to go swimming to cool off. We later found out, once out at the pool deck that kids' hours are during the daytime and evening only reserves for adult. My kid was very disappointed. While we were at the pool deck, several families had also been turned down to use the pool. You should see the faces of those kids. "very disappointing". The hotel is not family-friendly like I thought it would be. Beside, the smell of cigarettes are everywhere. Even though, we reserved a non-smoking room, it is kind of hard to sleep thinking there might be a fire to the smoking room on the tall tower.

The hotel management decided to only allow children to swim from 7am-5pm (the heat of the day). We were very disappointed to find this out upon our arrival. If we had known beforehand, we would have stayed elsewhere. I must say our bellhops were friendly and helpful.

The room was suppose to be ready by 3PM and they still had the maid there at 9PM. Towels were too small, room not set up well, had to adjust the table where TV sat on to veiw it from bed to couch. Non smoking floor and gave off the smell as if people smoked on the floor and in the room. Restraunt in hotel a little confuzeing when there specials were and the card only comp the specials and not every meal. Multiple mahines were out of service thoughout the casino.

My husband and I were treated very pourly. The staff at the Flamingo were rude. We stood there for 3 days and by the second day I had to report three employee's. The food at was not very good. When we first checked in, a slot host came up to us at told her about the hotel's promotion that they had going on. I asked many questions about the rules of the promotion. The host had all the answers, to bad that she did not know what she was talking about and my husband and I were taken for monies and the hotel refussed to pay back at the end as promised by the promotion. The only good thing that I can say about the Flamingo is that the room was very clean and the bed was very comforable. We spent almost all of our time walking (or taking the water taxies) to other hotel's just to get away from Flamingo rude employee's. They acted as if WE WERE bothering them to do their jobs.

The hotel is a little dated and "worn", but has recently been purchased and is slated for a complete renovation. Overall, it was quite clean and the staff was very helpful and friendly.
