| The room wasn't very clean and when we peeled the sheets off the bed, we couldn't figure out if they had been washed or not. The pillows were small and uncomfortable. The TV reception was appaling, so bad we couldn't even watch it. Not a good thing if you are just passing through and want to rest in your room- no entertainment. Apart from all that, the front desk clerks were very friendly and helpful.

| Overall this was a decent, average hotel, but the experience was ruined by two things: 1) we found a two-inch cockroach in the bathroom, and 2) for some reason, when we arrived to check in, we were registered in the computer as no-shows, although we had contacted hotel staff well in advance to indicate a late arrival time. However, the person at the front desk did a fair job of accommodating us, though the type of room we had originally requested was not available.

| I was scared for my personal safety. Doors directly to outside, bad part of town, trashed hallways and grounds. Requested single king non-smoking, go two doubles smoking room.

| Mickey would be proud. Banging on the door by maintenece refusing to accept that I didn't just call about my shower needing repairs, 15 minutes after checking in. Days-Inn BANNER over the original name, "Getto-tel Inn" Pay the extra $10-20 and get a well known hotel.

| The price and location was good but that's about it. The toilet was an issue, as was the cleanliness of the bathroom. The hot water was a trickle in the shower. No ice bucket or ice. We weren't demanding of anything to be done we just figured we got what we paid for.

| 1st room, roof leaking in middle of bed. 2nd room no "P" trap on sink. Sink drained on floor and smoke alarm gone with wires hanging out. 3rd room O.K. except went from King bed to double with a sinking hole in the middle. Not Happy. People were helpful but they didn't have much to work with. We blame ourselves for waiting till the last minute to reserve.

| Hotel and grounds looked nice. Room was clean with exception of sticky spot on rug between beds and a slight musty smell. 1st-There was no hair dryer or iron in the room. When requested, we were told there were no hairdryers available other than the one attached to the wall - as far as we could see there was never a hairdryer attached anywhere in that room. Worst of all, while hunting for the hairdryer we found the smoke detector in a drawer. There was no attempt to respond to our request for hairdryer, iron or connected smoke detector. 2nd - The complimentary breakfast from 6:00 to 9:00 consisted of only waffles and coffee at 8:00 the first day (added OJ the second day). 3rd - we had a message from the management that the water was to be turned off at 5:00 for maintenance. As we were gone all day we didn't know if that meant a.m. or p.m. or if it meant for a short time or permanently. We always had water, though. They need to get their act together, we won't be back.

| For towels like sandpaper, matresses with burn holes and bathroom counters with suspicious purpulish stains which conjure macabre images this is the place for you! Although we did not have a bad time and enjoyed the weather while hanging out by the pool, the pool was unswimmable. Excellent bar and bowling alley however. For a good time in Bakersfield, there are other hotels in this price range that may have a little more spunk.

| This hotel is decent for the price. Every room has a balcony or patio. The furniture in the room looked kind of old but overall it was decent. The swimming pool is huge! I think it goes up to 9 feet. The hotel is also very close to a lot of things. This is the kind of place you would stay at if you do not plan to be in the hotel room that much and just want a place to sleep and swim. Can't beat it for the price.
