| My wife and I spent 4 days at this hotel and were truly surprised. We are the kind of people who would rather spend money on fun things to do than spend it on a hotel. We choose this hotel because of its location in downtown and its price. We didn't expect much, but we sure were pleased with our choice. The room was nice, clean and cool. The bed (we had the king) was very comfortable and was a joy to return to after a long day of 'touristy' activity. The complimentary breakfast wasn't bad, but the real highlight was the employees. They were very nice and helpful. We both recommend this hotel to anyone who is traveling to KC. On a side note though, there are no restaurants with in walking distance. There are several close by, but not within a mile or so.

| Were in Kansas City for a funeral, so we were just there for 2 days. Had a smoking room, yet the hotel didn't have any ash trays?? The beds were the most comfortable we have slepted on ever.

| The Comfort Inn in downtown KC was a fairly average hotel. It was perfect for what I was looking for at the time as we just needed a place to sleep and keep our stuff during the day. They did have a small workout area that included a treadmill which was nice since I didn't want to run outside because I wasn't familiar with the area. We had a good experience overall.

| The rooms were not completely clean, e.g. bed was made, but sink was dirty. Only decaf coffee in the room. No coffe at the breakfast bar. The desk clerk came into the breakfast room to make coffe, but before she allowed guests to pour a cup, she poured a cup of hot water for her general manager's morning tea! The manager is more important thatn the guests!
