| The Park Inn Island hotel is a very comfortable and clean establishment. It's restaurant also serves a very tasty breakfast. The only drawback is that it is not within comfortable walking distance to the city center. We wound up taking taxis, since we were too lazy to wait for the bus. I would recommend this hotel.

| Rooms are clean and large enough. Beds are not so big, but it's acceptable. Breakfast is included. No tip is necessary in Iceland. Everyone knows this hotel, so it's quite easy to tell people (esp. when you make tour reservations).

| the location was a little further from downtown than I expected. But the staff was so helpful and accommodating. They booked all of our daily excursions, called cabs and were very friendly. Breakfast was included each day and was buffet with many options.

| Clean comfortable reasonably-priced. Includes ample buffet breakfast (important because food is very expensive in Iceland). A bit outside of the downtown area - long walk or an easy bus ride (minutes to the stop). BIG PLUS - the hotel gives free passes to all the heated city swimming pools in the city (a must-visit experience) and an excellent swimming pool (w/ hot tubs, water slide, heated pool) is a short walk away.

| Perched on a hill, provides perhaps the best overall view of the area. Removed enough from city lights to have decent Northern Lights viewing! 20-30 minute walk to the heart of main shopping area. 10-20 minute walk to shopping mall. 5-10 minute walk to outlet shopping area. Breakfast was as good as any in Iceland.
