| The hotel was located in a great part of town. It was far away enough to be out of the middle of everything, yet close enough to walk to all the main attractions in Dublin. There were pubs and coffee shops next to the hotel, making it easier to grab an inexpensive bite to eat in the morning and a decent place to grab a drink without all of the crowds. The hotel provided parking and had no problems letting us check in hours before check-in time. They also had a nice fitness center that was open 24 hours a day to help beat off some jet lag!

| Hotel was every thing the previous reviews promised. We arrived early but the front desk allowed us to check in and use our room immediately. When one of our tours was late to pick us up, the front desk called the tour company to inquire the reason for the delay. Hotel is right behind Trinity College and away from the bustle of city, but only a 10-15 minute walk to the Temple Bar area.

| This was my first trip to Dublin and I was glad to have stayed at the O'Callaghan Alexander. The rooms are very large, even by American standards, and it's very well-decorated. Despite warnings about small rooms and the like, O'Callaghan Alexander was an amazing stay. It offered everything we wanted, including allowing us to check in at 9am, when check in is in the afternoon. It is located within walking distance of most Dublin attractions, including the nightlife. The bar across the street is lively on the weekends, and the bartenders are great. Kitty's Bistro down the road was a favorite dinner, and walks in the park were simply lovely. However, our king-sized bad was actually two twins pushed together, and the sheets were never washed or cleaned, which was noted when because tea was accidentally spilt on the sheets. I probably wouldn't stay here again, in order to experience new things, but I would consider it, and I would definately recommend this hotel to other tourists.

| The Alexander had everything we needed in a hotel - Comfortable room, peaceful lobby, nice bar with good sandwiches (to sate our hunger when we returned from a night out - All that walking made us very hungry.), and most importantly, it's location allowed easy walking to the places we wanted to go including Grafton St., Busarus (for our tour of Newgrange and Tara), Pearse St. Station (to catch the DART up to Malahide)and O'Connell St. north of the Liffey as well as Temple Bar. It was especially handy for Trinity College and the Museums.

| The Alexander was a wonderful place for the last few days of our week long tour of Ireland. Our B&B's along the way were nice and comfortable, but our room at the Alexander was a relaxing, hospitable change from the room-to-room travel of B&B's. The staff was gracious and helpful. Located south of the Liffey River, and a little south of Trinity College, the Alexander was a perfect "base camp" for our excursions throughout the city of Dublin. I would definitely stay there again.
