We had two rooms, one for us and one for the kids; the hotel is centrally located within walking distance to anything of interest; yet it is located on a very quiet side street; very clean; rooms are comfortable even if small (by US standards); staff is very helpful; buffet breakfast (included) was great; we stayed in two other hotels in Iceland; this one was by far superior and priced at 50% the cost of the other two. We highly recommend it.

This hotel provides easy access to downtown, harbor and shopping discrict. Also had great service by the hotel staff willing and able to help you out with everything from extra towles, planning excursions, and just letting you know where everything was. I would stay there again.

Rather bland on the outside but with good service and very nice rooms in the heart of Reykjavik. You can walk from the hotel to the shopping district in a matter of minutes.

We can't say enough about the staff at this hotel. Everyone was very helpfull and accommodating. From suggesting restaurants, making reservations to giving detailed driving directions, the staff members were always there to help. The rooms were very clean and larger than what we expected for a European hotel. The hotel served a breakfast buffet, which could have included more traditional American items, but everything was very fresh and well presented. The hotel restaurant was five stars, the menu offered a large variety of both Icelantic and American entrees. The presentation of our meals was excellent and they were cooked to perfection.

A nice, clean and newer hotel suitable for a leisure stay.It was comfortable and better than other hotels that Ive stayed in Reykjavik, but some of the amenities listed are deceiving. It is also away from the bar/restaurant areas, but an easy walk. The cable television consisted of 5 channels that offered poor reception and no local channels(Icelandic television plays English language movies/shows with subtitles but its not offered on their 'cable').The only clear channel was MTV. The inroom internet is actually a dataport on the phone.Without an Icelandic ISP,or an international dial-up ISP, this is basically a feature that any hotel offers when you disconnect the phone to access your own dialup provider.Reception had no information about using the inroom phone for internet access, but directed me to the lone computer in the lobby. There was one computer(keyboard and screen only) with internet access in the lobby for clients to use for email and surfing, not for networking and sending files.Overall a good hotel if you want a clean, comfortable room and are travelling/touring during the day.Great place to sleep (soundproof rooms-rare in Reykjavik)and the rooms are good sized in comparison to other local hotels.
