| We loved the feel of this hotel. It was very unique and different from other hotels we have stayed at since it had 4 windows, an older tile floor, herbal soaps and shampoos, and a cozy and homey feel. It was very well maintained and very striking to the eye. Our hotel just added to the wonderful ambiance of Chicago!

| Convenient to Lake Shore Drive with a short 15 minute car ride to McCormick Place or Loop area(if you leave early). Good restuarants nearby, vibrant street life at night and informative polite staff. Rooms reminded me of Europe, smallish but comfortable. Nicely re-finished wood trim in the rooms and a comfortable bed. Not high end, but a solid value.

| An older building with character that fit into the historic neighborhood it is in. The rooms were small, but I'd trade that for atmosphere. Great access to nearby shops, restaurants, and nightlife. Not a touristy area. Plus, this one was cheaper than all the others nearby. One negative: parking costs money and was nearby but off-site.

| Hotel toilet didn't flush. Non-smoking rooms had the "smoked-in" smell. TV was from the early 1980's -- you couldn't tell if it was black and white or color (somewhere in the middle). Good points -- 2 bathrooms and 2 walk-in closets.

| After reading all of the reviews, we were SCARED. We found this hotel to be charming and quaint, in a great, convenient location. No, it's not the Marriott or the Holiday Inn. It's an historic hotel built in 1913. Our room was adequate, although the bed wasn't the most comfortable. The room was clean and had a few amenities - coffee maker, shampoo, etc. They lacked adequate electrical outlets. All in all, we enjoyed our 2-night stay. On the down side, the parking was a negative.

| I booked a room at the Inn at Lincoln Park, and requested a room with two double beds. They gave me a room with ONE double bed. Given that I was sharing the room with a 300-pound roommate, this wasn't the ideal setup. Then, when I opened the door, and I found a room that is smaller than my walk-in closet at home, that made it even "better." It was the smallest hotel room I've ever seen. And the fixtures in the room (bathroom, TV, etc.) were like a blast from the past. This room hadn't been remodeled since the mid-70's -- at least. Horrible experience. Would not recommend this hotel to ANYONE. Especially at the outrageous price they charge for a room. And it's in the middle of nowhere. A 20-minute walk to Wrigley Field.

| at first look this hotel seems quaint and convenient. it is in a great part of town, lots of shops and things to do right out the front door. unfortunately, the rooms leave much to be desired. the beds are terribly hard and uncomfortable. some rooms - the standard double room especially - is so small you have no room to place your luggage, thus cluttering up the already small floor space with bags. the water/shower was dismal at best. the water often turns hot, then cold, then hot again - never quite the right temperature - every time you shower. the bathrooms have little room to place your bathroom ammenities. this is a very old place and not very updated with modern ammenities. light fixtures were old and were missing the pulls to turn them on. the faucets were old and sprayed water in all directions, leaving the bathroom floor wet at most times. the air conditioner was barely working in my first room. i had to change because of the conditions of my first room. the continental breakfast was made up of hard bagels and dry muffins, which seemed to be the same batch each day, just getting more stale as the week progressed. the staff was a mix of nice helpful people to the more rude and impossible to understand. if you do choose this place, spend the extra money on a bigger room - it will be worth it in comparison.

| The hot water pressure in my room was pathetic - water just dribbled out of both the sink and shower. Fortunately, the water was very hot and it was just enough to warm the cold water for a shower. My complaint did no good - maybe a hotel wide thing. If not for this problem, would rate the place as very good.

| Great location. Outside structure with lots of character and historical feel yet the rooms are not up to date in decor nor comfort level.
