This is the second time we have stayed in this hotel and have loved it each time. The setting for this hotel is truly beautiful and is very relaxing and peaceful. The staff are very friendly and helpful. There is plenty to do if you choose to stay around the hotel.

Tierra del Sol is a great, quiet vacation resort in Aruba. Our 2 bedroom villa was very spacious and had a backyard area, complete with a pool. Golf isd windy and challenging. We would not hesitate to go back and would definitely stay at Tierra del Sol.

We had a house with your own pool so I don't call this a hotel. BUt we had service like a hotel with cleanimg and so on. But this house was in very nice condition. The only negative we found was the AC was little noisy. It was the third time we visited this place and I think its not the last?

Pros: * Beautifully landscaped grounds, golf, and pool area create a lush oasis on this cactus-covered island. All sorts of parrots, and colorful birds, and lizards to watch. * Not crowded at all. We often had the pool to ourselves (this was in early October). * Good restaurants on site. * A gated community, so very safe. * Beautifully decorated and comfortable condos, felt like home. Cons: * No beach on site. There's one just a few miles away, but the water there is a bit rough. I recommend driving a bit further and going to the "low-rise" hotel section, just about 10 min. away. There, they have little tiki huts on the beach for you to sit under and waiters to bring you drinks. Very relaxing! * You pretty much must rent a car if you're staying here. Taxi fares would end up costing you more than that otherwise. * Our beds were REALLY hard. We ended up sleeping on most of the blankets we could find to soften it up. One of us ended up on the couch once or twice. Bottom line: If you play golf or simply want peaceful scenery and relaxation (there is a spa on-site here as well), this would certainly be "the" place to stay for you. But if you're more the beach-bum type and like the nightlife too, try the low-rise hotel area instead.

This community is breathtaking. I say community because it is so much more than a "hotel." The landscaping, villas, condos and golf course (although we're not golfers) are absolutely beautiful and the staff is warm, friendly, helpful and efficient. The private pool at our villa home was just the icing on the cake. The week went by waaaaay too fast!
